"A quick search for a dog friendly cafe in the town bright us here on a Sunday lunchtime. We got a nice welcome from a friendly man, and the menu was varied from paninis, sandwiches, jackets, salads, nachos and loads of drink options. We waited quite long for our food but it was delicious and plentiful when it arrived. The waiter remained friendly and chatted to the children. There was a baby changing area outside the toilet, and he brought a water bowl for our dog too. We felt very looked after and it just felt that they do everything right. We will definitely return and maybe next time do some pottery painting-they had a huge range of things to paint, and it was a very relaxing atmosphere in which to do it."

"Cafe run by locals based on using quality locally produced sustainable and environmentally friendly ingredients. Had excellent sausage and egg roll washed down with a cup of coffee.Eggs had apparently run out and a further and a half dozen were hand delivered in minutes!...Varied menu has much to please its principal customers being locals in the know (usually members who enjoy a discount) and walkers/cyclists enjoying the adjacent Flitch Way (well known path principally along a disused railway line) which is yards away. Pleasant and affable customer service, I will be taking my daughter back tomorrow on the Bank Holiday for a quick bite whilst she has a cycle.We will also look to try one of their Pizza Evenings with music using their impressive brick built pizza oven. Well worth supporting this excellent local venture."

"We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the pub has a nice appearance with plenty of space. However, we decided to try the Sunday roast, and the portion sizes were disappointingly small. For £19.50, the beef consisted of just two thin slices, hardly enough to be considered a starter. Unfortunately, we left still feeling hungry and had to seek out another place to eat. It's a missed opportunity, as the establishment could greatly improve by placing more emphasis on providing a satisfying Sunday roast experience. It’s not a fine dining venue, despite what it seems to aim for. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"Too many problems!7 diners for a childs birthday on a Saturday night. Young children and teenagers with adults. Restaurant was not busy.£3.50 for a Pepsi? Was it refillable? No one said? No menus due to COVID so wouldn't know until the bill came!King prawn pasta was in a tomato sauce. Not the white sauce as per menu.Bunny childs pizza had no face and didn't impress. Uncut and given to a 7 year old without adults on the table a mess!Crispy bacon pizza was just a ham pizza. No bacon!2 sizes of pizza ordered. All the same size!Lasagne looked good.Service was OK.Bill was expensive.I love to try and support local businesses but come on! Get these easy little things right!Won't be returning. Feel had over. Meal was barely worth half of the cost."

"we had another great evening at the flitch on Wednesday, eating was delicious, as always, the boar bell is to die for the best of all time. there was a singer who played in the background, who was very good and generally a great atmosphere with an age class for everyone. thanks for a nice evening."
