The Snooty Fox Pub - Speisekarte

Just wanted to give a shout out to Lelu at the Snooty, and the staff, made me and my friends feel so welcome. A great night had by all.

…which has interesting decor and a superb drinks and food selection, as well as friendly locals and staff. Great second stop on our Christmas pub crawl!

Quite simply the best pub in Highbury/Canonbury. Everyone who works there is amazing, a really friendly bunch of people who give the place such a great atmosphere. The new food is really good (make sure you try their Sunday roast). Fantastic selection of beer at very reasonable prices. Lovely little beer garden and benches at the front… what’s not to love! Ive just moved to the area and am so excited The Snooty Fox will be my new local. It's got a great cool vibe and we had a fantastic meal. Nice wine for me and my boyfriend thought the ale offering was very impressive. We tried the vegan crispy miso glazed cauliflower which was heavenly and the Seitan Burgers which were cooked perfectly. So pleased that there is a great food choice for vegans. Refreshing!

Went here for the first time for drinks and bite to eat as it was convenient placed for my group of friend to meet. They advertise having a great range of beers but half of the beers pumps were turned around and unavailable. The food was awful. The chicken burgers had no discernible chicken in them, they were all 'crispy coating ' in a bun, and everything was doused in excessive amounts of salt. Nothing healthy on the plate. If your diet consists of only salt and fat then this is the place for you, otherwise avoid.

Visited today, snooty staff not welcoming at all despite booking. They pointed us to the table. We were just sitting down and were asked for drinks order we asked for a few minutes but his face showed his unhappiness with this. We then had to ask for our order to be taken. I asked for the veggie option but I was told it had sold out but I could have the salad starter. I asked if they had a fish alternative and told to order the calamari starter. We looked at each other and told him we were leaving. There was no attempt to keep our business. We went to the nearby Alwyne castle which was great. My recommendation is be foxy avoid snooty and get to the castle were your treated like royalty. Speisekarte ansehen

I went with a friend on Wednesday afternoon 22 July, for what we hoped would be a fruitful visit. After all, it was scheduled to host various forthcoming CAMRA events. What a disappointment. There was only one cask beer available, and that was a tepid pint of Otter. It was also the end of barrel, so we thought to wait until a fresh one was tapped. Somebody disappeared apparently to do that, but when, after a short pause, we asked how long that would take, we were told about twenty minutes. We spent that twenty minutes walking to The Lady Mildmay, where we enjoyed a choice of several well served pints. Snooty Fox? Forget it. Maybe this is why it is categorized as a restaurant and not a pub.

We went to the Fox this Sunday. We booked a table for 4 people for 1-30 and was told we could have the table until 4pm. The place was busy but the service was rushed to say the least . I asked the waitress to slow down as she served our roasts while we were still eating the starters. The roasts were very poor ! A couple of roast potatoes a half of carrot and some cabbage, along side a flat and burnt Yorkshire . For pudding one choice , bread and butter pudding which none of us eat and we were offered nothing else When I complained I was told that she would see if they had any ice cream for our two children. Two tiny scopes later that was it !! Not good enough. We have been coming here for ye...

We have been to the Snooty Fox twice now for food On the first occasion, I was with two others and we ordered burgers, my burger turned up, and the entire bun (on both sides) was covered in mould how the chef failed to notice this blew my mind, a rather embarrassed waitress took it away and offered me a free drink, and had the food remade, however it meant I was then eating well after my friends had finished, which isn't really the point of going out for dinner together. A year or so later, we decided to go back having heard that James Cochran's Around the Cluck was going to be there for a limited time.
