Amazing location, staff kind and professional. We are a Burger, the meat was very nice. Price ok.

The location and the atmosphere was amazing same goes for the service. We had fish and chips which was tasteless. Therefor the 2 stars. The fish was very tasteless even when you add some salt on top of it. Wish the chefs season the fish with some salt and pepper.

Visited on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022. The food was good, but we had to wait an hour for water and had to ask three different waitresses for it. The food itself was tasty, though on the salty side. The prices were reasonable; we spent £34 for two vegetarian meals without drinks.

Had delicious cocktails and a lovely meal here before a show last week. Cocktails (4 different ones) were beautifully presented. Meals were similarly gorgeous and tasty sea bass/crushed potatoes x2 , and Clermont Burger (1 chicken and 1 beef). Service was efficient and super friendly and we loved the atmosphere and decor. Perfect meal.

The food was fantastic! We sampled several dishes as part of a tasting and everything was delicious and beautifully presented, like pieces of art. The only reason we didn't give it a fifth star is that the music was a bit too techno for the atmosphere, and the staff awkwardly stood by the bar, watching us while we enjoyed our date night. Other than that, it's a wonderful place!

Very nice place for a spot of lunch or as I observed afternoon tea (will be back to try that in the future) Though there was a clear staffing issue while we was there the overall experience was a good one and the food was absolutely delicious speed of service from ordering was very impressive and the presentation was to a high standard. Overall I recommend it if you are in the area and want a chilled yet high standard meal.

A fantastic discovery! Tucked away yet conveniently located. As noted in other reviews, the staff were exceptional, and the food was enjoyable. The menu offers a diverse selection to cater to various tastes. The steak was delicious, and the dumplings were both intriguing and delightful. The presentation of the dishes was impressive. There was a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails, and the dessert was scrumptious. The atmosphere and vibe during our visit were lively, with plenty to recommend. This place has all the potential to be outstanding. Additionally, it was affordable, providing excellent value for the experience. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We are so glad we found this place! We were wandering around the area looking for something nice and quiet with great food. We found it! The fish was absolutely amazing. Excellent cut of fillet with really nice buttery sauce. Yes, it may not have been huge but it tasted great and I'd have it again. My girlfriend had the steak and ale pie and loved it. I tried a bit of it and found it very tasty as well. The service was great! I walked in without reservation. Originally the table I got wasn't great. Due to the cancelation of a reservation, the waiter came up to us without us asking and he asked us if we wanted to move to a better table. The table we got was very nice. We appreciated the offer...

The Soak is the restaurant of the beautiful Grade II listed railway hotel, The Clermont Victoria. Completely refurbished post covid the result is a very elegant and classy espace. The deco is 5*, it feels grand but relaxed at the same time. High ceilings wonderfully detailed in white, contrast with the rich grey of the walls and columns. Rich blue velvet seats, darker leather, light grey marble tables to the sides and dark wooden in the center with curved seating and beautiful globular lights. All very stylish. The food is good but not great. I had the posh prawn cocktail, rib eye and black forest brownie. The steak probably the weakest. The staff are great though and service very attentive....
