Lovely Sunday lunch quick service lovely staff can highly recommend it nothing to much trouble all home cooked nice and cosy

1st time ever visiting this pub. Lovely and welcoming, service very friendly and helpful. Food was proper home cooked pub grub. Fresh hot and tasty. Very impressed with the food and service. Will definitely be returning with my family again

Part of a party of ten, the meals were all very good. Had a baked potato with chicken curry which was served with a small side salad and coleslaw. Some of the party ate from the two meals for £14 menu which were also very good value. Waitress was very pleasant.

visited the pub tonight with my partner as recently moved to cwmbran. we eat out regularly and have to say the meal was stunning. steak cooked perfectly. im a chef myself very critical but couldnt fine anything wrong. perfect bar service and meal we will be back

Popped in for a quick bite with a friend of mine and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff who were smiling and helpful. I had the hunters chicken on the special’s menu. Big portions! Somehow we both managed to squeeze in a dessert and I’m so glad I did I had the orange aero cheesecake and I would highly recommend it. We’ll be back

Had the most lovely Sunday lunch here today.The food was delicious,3 x roast beef and a roast pork with a lovely selection of veg,The desserts were to die for, so much choice.We had strawberry pavlova,raspberry white choc cheesecake,bread butter pud custard and ice cream.All the staff were really lovely and the whole atmosphere was great.Would highly recommend.You wont go home hungry!

We chose in advance from the Christmas menu and it did not disappoint. I had a haloumi and orange salad followed by turkey dinner. There was plenty of everything, with a dish of fresh vegetables and the most delicious pickled red cabbage. As part of the group package we had a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Some of our party had a lovely raspberry meringue dessert. Altogether a lovely meal served by friendly, helpful staff.

Visited here on Sunday, hadn't booked, it was on a whim after walking the reservoir too long. Place was lovely and staff very lovely too and helpful too. No seating left inside but able to eat outside which was cold but it was late and my 2 year old, us and the dog were starving. Staff couldn't have been more helpful even though we'd put them out and on the spot. Food was delicious and lots. If it wasn't for the rain coming in we'd of had pudding at stayed longer. Will definitely be back when we visit again couldn't recommend or rate this place enough. Thank you to the lady that really helped us out she's a star xx

During the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme, I really felt for Jackie, her daughter and their team. They were rushing around to the point of exhaustion, but the superb standard of food and service remained. The food has a home cooked feel to it, is always served piping hot and fresh. It tastes amazing and portions are great too. The menu is varied, desserts are phenomenal; personal favourite is the aero cheesecake and the beef Sunday roast is by far the best around.I’ve not Long returned from holiday, and I couldn’t wait for a Sunday lunch and cheesecake from the Cocks.We’ve tried most things from the menu and cannot fault anything.
