"We visited Uttoxeter for a weekend getaway and visited this place based on the good reviews. Very deserved good reviews too as the place had some amazing food. Everything was fresh and the staff were lovely. Very small on the inside so maybe if visiting on a Saturday it may be worth booking (we did so we were fine but they did seem full when we arrived) Reasonable prices too!"

"A group of of us attempted to eat at Divine on Saturday April we hadn't prebooked but were told that a table would likely be available in minutes or so. We left a contact number.After around minutes without a call, I popped back in to check whether the table was available. I was told it would probably be minutes...In minutes, the of us arrived. After a short wait (with no apology for the wait) we were seated and our drinks order taken. Drinks arrived within a reasonable time.Around minutes passed without being approached to place our order so we got the attention of the waiting staff who assured us we would be attended to imminently.Another minutes or so later, we asked again whether we would be able to place our order. We were told he'd be straight with us.We were still not able to place our order, so made the decision to leave. On asking for the bill, the lady claiming to be the manager of the restaurant approached us. We told her we felt we had been waiting an unreasonable amount of time. Her response was to react with aggression, arguing loudly that we had not been left to wait (she perhaps thought we wanted to sit around with no food and empty glasses), and no apology whatsover for the poor service.The manager of this restaurant was easily the rudest host' I have had the misfortunate to come across. Her behaviour was almost Basil Fawltyesque but without the comedy. The rest of the staff, while not displaying the degree of rudeness shown by their supervisor, were generally disinterested.I would advise giving this place a very wide berth, the attitude we were subjected to was completely unacceptable, however good the food may be."

"Staying at the hotel in Alton Towers and 1 the prices are outrageous and 2 when we ordered they didn’t have the only vegetarian meal on the menu. A quick google of near by restaurants and this place came up. Food was amazing. Portions are enough for 2 people to eat. Naan breads are massive. Nice that there was plenty of other people coming in to dine. Shame it’s 3 hours away from my home. Would go back there again if staying at Alton Towers. Recommend"

"Started with Poppadoms and pickles, they were the most tasteless selections I have ever had, chutney and yoghurt seemed watered down. One of our party had a samosa to start, they left half of it. Our main meals were all poor, lack of flavour and...substance, apart from Balti Chicken that had been asked for Madras, it blew the poor guys head off ! Very disappointed as I had read great reviews about it. Would not return"

"I would normally sing the praises of Bear but a recent visit was very disappointing. Hygiene not up to scratch, a long 45 minutes) wait to receive food, and a flat atmosphere made this visit very poor. Add to this an unapproachable member of staff serving behind the bar who was not communicating with ANY customers middle age and colder than a block of ice) Bear used to be the place to be, with so much better choice in Uttoxeter it’s rapidly turning into the place to avoid if you want great customer service as well as good food."
