The White Swan - Speisekarte

Visited this month in October with my family and the food was delicious. I had fish and chips and it was delicious. The service from all staff was fantastic and couldn’t recommend and will be returning. 10/10 all round.

Went for a great dinner at the white swan and had the lamb hotpot. Lovely food, atmosphere and staff. Mainly Sherif who served us was excellent and made us feel very welcomed and made sure we were attended to the whole time. Will certainly be back.

Lovely food and lovely atmosphere but an older waitress with short black hair just ruined the meal for me and my family. She was very rude to the younger staff especially the younger lad. The way she treated him was appalling and upsetting to watch he looked very distressed. But other than that, I had a lovely time.

Staff who seem to be young treated in a poor way by the management team take on young staff and treat them shockingly Food more expensive than other establishments and of the same quality you can get the same elsewhere at much less cost Food questionable for the cost paid Someonenshould seriously look at how staff are treated

lovely restaurant decor wise nice evening so we're seated by the open doors looking out onto the garden. lovely. that's the end of the positives unfortunately. burger served barely warm on one meal the chips on 2 of the other meals were rock hard perhaps warmed up from lunch tine service ? who knows but why woukd a chef send out food like that ?

Had a late lunch here with my Mother and sister. Eaten here many times and as ever, excellent service and food. Two of us had chicken skewers which were excellent and then we had main courses of which all were hot, tasty and excellent. Lasagne, chicken curry, we were asked how hot we wanted it and a fish pie which was very hot straight from the grill with its cheese topping. A lovely afternoon catching up with good food and excellent atmosphere

Have stayed 2nts/wk for 4 months. Staff, food, drinks rooms have been great. Highly recommend! Some reviews mention slow service, but that is purely down to how busy it can be. If you want fast food, find a McDonald's. I have spent 34 nights here over 4 months, and not had one bad meal! I have tried most things on the menu, and compliment the staff/cheffs most nights. Some reviews state prices are not cheap. That's because all food is prepared on site. If you want cheap food, go to Wetherspoons. If you have a big appetite, I would recommend a side with some meals, but ask the lovely staff for guidance. You don't really need a side with the pies. They are a good fill.

Came to the White Swan last night with some friends for a catch up. When we first arrived, we were seating by the older lady with short black hair. We ordered food which arrived promptly and was delicious, I had the beef pie which I highly recommend. However, I feel I need to address the attitude of the lady I'm guessing is the supervisor as it made me feel so uncomfortable. She spoke to the two younger girls with an awful tone of voice, especially the girl in the glasses. She was constantly bossing them around and picking at everything they were doing. I have been a waitress in previous years so I really feel for the girls. I hope this is something that can be taken on board and improved in...

I've have stayed at the White Swan many times. Yesterday we arrived earlier then planned. Check in was at 4pm but we arrived at 1pm and I asked if it was possible to check in early. As always the staff were accomodating and we were in the room by 1.15pm which was great. The room was lovely but unfortunately we couldn't open the window. I mentioned it to Mary who has always been an absolute pleasure and she advised me to talk to the manager who she assured me would rectify it. The manager was extremely professional and changed and upgraded our room immediately. That evening we had a lovely meal in the Mucky Duck.
