Torcefn Tea Room And Farm Shop

We absolutely loved our afternoon tea at Torcefn Tea Room, the atmosphere in the tea room was lovely and the food was superb, everything was fresh and delicious with plenty of food between two of us; so much so we took some cake home with us. Would 10000% visit again. Thank you!

We visited for afternoon tea. One of the cream teas was gluten free. We could not believe how many sandwiches, savouries and cakes arrived per person. There was also limited beverages. The quality was superb. The service was spot on. We were even allowed to take our dog with us. TOP MARKS THANK YOU.

Visited here as a group of friends including (2 young children) for Afternoon Tea. Beautiful place The best cakes and such a great variety of sandwiches, pastries and cakes. We have stayed at torcefn tea rooms and camping a few times just beautiful and relaxing place and the food from the tea room is freshly made and the best cakes ever and afternoon tea is delicious there are sheep goats ducks the owners are extremely welcoming and very friendly going back soon thank you penny

We stopped purely by chance...sooo glad we did! Atmosphere was fantastic, welcome was great especially given how busy they were. My smoothie was gorgeous along with the huge piece of the lightest and tastiest slice of Victoria Sandwich that I've had for years. My husband had Rhubarb Crumble with custard....and he said it was the best he had ever had.

Our group of 12 stayed at the campsite for a weekend and it was ideal for our annual Welsh learners group reunion. We hope to make it a tradition to hold our reunion here every year. The tearooms were just a short walk from the camping field and the homemade cakes were absolutely delicious. The tearoom is also licensed to serve alcohol, so we enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings, almost like a bar. Andy and Sandy were fantastic hosts and catered to our every need. They were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.

Despite the attractive atmosphere and nicely presented food, our experience was not positive. My friend was disappointed with the meal and I was embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant. It would have been better if they had offered another roll or a piece of bread and butter to address the issue. However, we were unable to leave a negative review on their Facebook page as a message would continuously pop up saying "We're having trouble completing your request. Please try again." This may explain why all their reviews are positive, as negative feedback seems to be blocked.

Andy and Sandy run a campsite alongside the Tearooms. We had a Welsh learners group reunion camp out for the weekend. The setting was beautiful. Facilities were unashamedly basic but we had all been made fully aware beforehand. 10/10 for the campsite. As for the Tearoom we all agreed we had been looked after brilliantly on both evenings of 'occupation '. Nothing was too much trouble. All diets were catered for and the quality was excellent. I know some of us who pass through on the M4 occasionally will definitely be making a detour to revisit. Note: Andy also keeps a couple of bottles of Penderyn whisky. As high a recommendation as I can give.

After reading positive reviews of this cafe, we decided to bring an elderly friend for lunch. Driving through the beautiful Welsh countryside, we arrived at 12:45. We noticed a sign outside indicating the soup of the day and its price, which seemed promising. However, when we entered the cafe, we were asked if we had made a reservation. We had not, and were informed that they could only offer us dessert and a drink. Despite there being plenty of tables inside and outside, we were told there were no seats available indoors. We settled for a scone for lunch outside, noting that the cafe was empty when we left an hour later. The scone was enjoyable, but not filling enough for a lunch meal. Addi...
