"A bit strange place to eat. The street looks nothing like a place where you can eat great food. Don’t judge the restaurant by the street it lives in! We ate here with our children (4, 6, 7). A bit of an exercise in staying put for the youngest, but it worked out great. We ate in the garden which is lushes and green. Shade everywhere and awesome atmosphere. The waiter and waitress spoke enough English to understand each other. Dinner was splendid. We had 3 different appetizers, primo and a secondo with a cheese platter for the grown ups and ice cream for the kids. The tartare was just the right amount of acidity and tender meat. We also had the wild ricewith perfect bite and baby octopus. Unfortunately my daughter loved it as well, so I had to share. The shrimp salad was nice, but not spectacular. The pasta with 30 egg yolks and meat sauce was a bit blend. It needed salt and pepper, but was nevertheless very nice. The red mullet with green beans and octopus ink was great. Also had to share… grmpf First time a had Buffalo milk French cheese made in Italy. Very soft. There was 1 cheese I didn’t like very much, but the rest… gosh, it was amazing! Ice cream was watermelon and orange sorbet. The children couldn’t appreciate the watery taste after having so many cream icecreams, but that as well was nice. The children behaved perfectly and had spaghetti with pomodoro. It was one of the best pastas I have ever tasted. A definite must go! But maybe get the tiramisu instead of the sorbets?! Bon gusto!"

Ottimo Ristorante ospitato in Via Roma a Verbania sul Lago Maggiore, con un accogliente giardino. Il locale offre un eccellente menù di carne e pesce con una carta dei vini molto interessante. Servizio attento e discreto. Una menzione particolare meritano i proprietari che accolgono i clienti con cordialità e simpatia accompagnate da una professionalità notevole. Un locale che consiglio vivamente.

After some shopping around Verbania we were getting rather hungry, we wanted something special so we asked the owner of the shop where we bought the curtains if she knew a different kind of restaurant, one we never visited before. She gave us the name of the restaurant and wow, what a place, the food delicious, staff nice, very clean place. Very good wine list but since we had to drive back home we only ordered a small bottle of wine. A great find and we will be back.
