Lovey pub and friendly service. We went for seafood Tuesday and the food was amazing we will definitely be visiting again. I had a fantastic Sunday lunch! The restaurant was very accommodating regarding allergies and dietary preferences. Terrible staff/owner booked for a family birthday booked weeks before then when weekmof birthday cancelled saying they could get more money letting diners in than our booking, they took deposit and had to wait to get it back as machine not working so had to drive there to collect it and no apologises apart from come in will buy you a drink disgusting !!!!!

In any case, it took no more than 90 seconds from the moment we entered until we were seated. Another minute later, our drinks were served. The food was excellent, but the true highlight of this place is the staff. They are efficient and wonderfully attentive. They have a knack for picking up on the right vibe, and everything seems to run smoothly. This is one of the best pubs in Essex; they have won several awards, which I believe are well-deserved.

I had the wild boar burger and my partner ordered the ribs. Both dishes were visually appealing and tasted incredible. The burger was incredibly tender and juicy, while my partner's ribs were so tender that they practically fell off the bone. She said they were the best ribs she's had in as long as she can remember. The staff was welcoming and polite, going above and beyond to be helpful. The beer garden is perfect for enjoying a sunny day like today, and we will definitely be returning regularly.
