"We had a wonderful meal at Ye Olde Six Bells! Since we were nearby, we wanted to sample some classic pub fare. The atmosphere was fantastic, and with the sunny weather, it was lovely to enjoy drinks outside before dinner. I recommend making a reservation, as it was fully booked on a Tuesday evening. Normally a decent pub, but service and food quality really bad on this occasion. Not sure if we were unlucky or if it has just generally gone downhill.

The waiter was excellent, but the main course took an hour to arrive and was overcooked. The scallops were covered in too much sauce, which made them tasteless and small.

I had the roast beef which was excellent, the best roast dinner I’ve had in years. Service was really good, attentive but not rushed at all. Lovely atmosphere, can’t praise it enough.

This is a beautiful old premises, perfectly restored and plenty space out the back for parties etc. We ate in the sun in the garden near the River Mole. Prices were good. No complaints.

I'm impressed. After two visits, the third one was just as excellent. It’s the perfect spot for catching up with old friends. The food and service are outstanding, and the place has a wonderful character.
