"we have always thought that French Italian food does not understand and Cherche-Midi is vital. the ravioli were obviously mass-produced, the watery, over abundant tasteless sugo came from a dose. chef boyardee! the mortadella was ok and the elements of the antipasto were (again) mostly mass produced. I went because it was part of piatto di buon ricordo, whose restaurants are usually good to very good. cherche made me buy an overpriced “Menu” and a mediocre glass wein to get the plate when any other pdbr gives them the plate when they order the presented plate and I must add that in the time of the Covid tables one was placed next and the people were literally shouldered to shoulder. the place is incredibly popular despite the food and the ambiente, but, as italian and a great food item, can I just pour out quoi? pour quoi? pour quoi?"

An absolute Paris favourite. Food, ambiance, service : we fell in love with Le Cherche Midi 20 years ago and it never disappoints ! Only little comment : a wider selection of wines would be appreciated, but the House Wine is excellent

The host never bothered to check his on-line booking, so didn’t have our reservation. Nevertheless, they accommodated the two of us and seated us quickly but we did not feel welcomed. The arugula salad was fine, but the antipasto was boring. The spaghetti blanco e nero with clams was fantastic- really briney and not too much garlic. The risotto Milanese was delicious too; lots of saffron flavor and nicely al dente.
