"Dinner for two at the Auberge du Moulinel was the absolute highlight of a recent trip to the Pas de Calais. A warm welcome, attentive service, an interesting Carte des Vins and a lovely room all conspired together with superlative food to provide a marvellous dinner. Foie gras chaud, sauce au miel, compote de fruits was followed by Filet d'Agneau sur une tranche de pain grillé, ratatouille confite, cromesquis d'ail, beurre de persil. Dessert was a fantastic Soufflé au Grand-Marnier. Madame had only two courses - St-Jacques et gambas poêlées, écrasée de patate douce, beurre blanc and Rose des sables au chocolat, coulis à l'orange, glace à la bêtise de Cambrai. Add to that a couple of Kirs, a decent Rosé de Provence, fizzy water and coffee and still the bill came to only €146.50 (just £105!). Extraordinary value!"

Our favourite restaurant ever - wonderful food, great friendly staff and spotlessly clean surroundings.

We had dinner here as a group of 7 friends, and can highly recommend everything - the food, the staff and the ambience. The menu is extensive and has a large and varied choice of dishes. No one was disappointed with their choices. Very French and very lovely evening.

The reception was disconcerting, the service stretched despite the kindness of the staff, the pleasant entries but the dishes of resistance really not exceptional, the Dutch sauce without taste... The blown to the big marnier I'm very fond of was really missing from a big marnier...

Lovely restaurant with a wide choice of meat, fish and seafood. The menu seemed a bit complicated (not entirely clear which dishes went on which menus) but the waiter was. both helpful and flexible with our choices. Everything we chose was excellent (lobster claws, oyster profiteroles, foie gras, pigeon) as were the additional "amuse-bouches" and petit-fours. A memorable meal.

Visited as a group of 14 for a pre-arranged lunch. We selected the 3 course menu. The choices were limited but adequate. Our party appeared to embrace all the choices and no one was disappointed. We also enjoyed Vouvray and Brouilly wines and found them most enjoyable too. The staff were pleasant and efficient although, to be fair, the restaurant was not full. The food was typically French and of a good standard - try the soufflé, you won't be disappointed! Will certain revisit.

Very good and original cuisine on some dishes Nice service A beautiful hostel that may seem a little old for some.....the youngest! We ate great well, small melon pins or raw ham in accompaniment to the aperitif then amuse mouth in the form of Andalusian gaspacho a marvel of taste. For my part, a lobster salad in the entrance and a bar on the skin. Pending the dessert of small mignardises then a blown big marnier (my only photo because we were invited so I didn't want to look impolite by taking pictures) then with the coffee of chocolate truffles I hope you want to go.

We have been to this restaurant for dinner several times now and would definitely go back again. We choose a set menu each time and while it's not bargain basement cheap, it's extremely good value for what you get, which is traditional French food made with interesting fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. It comes with little extra touches like amuse-bouches. While I haven't been here with children, I have seen well-behaved French children eat here and be treated very kindly by the staff. Eating here always feels like an occasion, yet the atmosphere is warm rather than stuffy, just like the lovely French lady who runs it. Highly recommended!
