Went here for some food while staying in Findhorn the Food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Ideal place for a drop in for something to eat after a walk along the seafront.

From the outside it doesn't look anything special but the inside decor is nice. We canoed over and had some bacon rolls which had lovely thick bacon in it, they were delicious! It looks like they get entertainment in for evenings which could be fun.

Great service and food, and even the seagulls were polite enough to wait until people left their tables before seizing on the left overs! We popped in for coffee on a windy, cold Friday, didn't know what to expect, but we loved this place. The modern woodburner and stylish decor gives a scandi feel. Coffee quickly turned to lunch after a review of the menu. Tasty brisket fries and the best lentil soup I've ever tasted, all served by a friendly team. The restaurant has a fantastic setting with beautiful seating and tables, and the staff were nice. They were very accommodating for dogs as well. The atmosphere was excellent. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered two scampi and chips at £15 each, but the chips were cold and greasy and the salad only consisted of lettuce and a small tomato. The scampi was greasy and oddly shaped, and even the tartare sauce was flavorless. Overall, I would recommend the Captains Table to improve their food quality to match their great atmosphere.
