The staff at the restaurant were welcoming and friendly. The food was tasty. However, the seating area was quite cold, which was a common issue noted by other customers as well. The average price per person was between £40-50. The food received a rating of 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 2. There was plenty of parking available, with free parking in the lot.

Not the usual good service but I think the staff were getting ready for the NYE dinner. Supposed to offer Tanqueray 0 but more often than not out of stock which is disappointing when I am designated driver. Meal was usual very good standard except for the ribeye steak which was very tough and fibrous sadly. Always our favourite place for Sunday lunch : Price per person: £40–50

The employees were extremely friendly, but unfortunately many menu items were unavailable such as sirloin steak, pie, chicken curry without chicken, and no potatoes. My partner and I attempted to order desserts, but none were available either. Ultimately, we decided to end our meal at that point. Price per person ranged from £10–20. It's a nice pub, obviously a chain. The staff are pleasant enough, although there did not seem to be enough. They were doing a widely advertised 50% off your food promotion, so we thought we'd give it a go. There was so much missing from the menu that it was embarrassing for the waitress. No chefs special starter, no sirloin steak, no pie and to top it all off my wife got the last portion of potato. We ordered our second choice food, mine a burger my wife fish cakes. They were only just adequate, I got nine chips with mine and my wifes was half a plate, with 2 dry fish cakes. Everything was obviously pre-made, and the fish cakes were clearly microwaved. Unfortunately, I took my family who were visiting from another country to this restaurant with hopes of experiencing an English pub atmosphere and cuisine. However, we were disappointed to find that the menu was quite limited when we placed our order, with no chicken, eggs, or new potatoes available. As a result, most of us ended up ordering fish dishes. One of the fish meals was very dry and contained very little fish in the batter. This was particularly disappointing for my elderly mother, who chose not to complain. Additionally, there were only a few chips on our plates, likely due to a shortage of potatoes. I have been to many vintage inns all across the country from Newcastle down to Stevenage and never had a problem. I usually enjoy the food and the service which is why I have returned time and again. I probably have eaten in this one about 10 times over the last year. This time upon reaching the restaurant I could not book online. The app kept telling me to retry so we chose to sit in the bar. This wasn 't a problem. I went to order the food and usually with the kids meal I swap the veg sticks for peas as my son doesn 't like the veg sticks.
