"We stopped here to purchase Yves Thurries chocolate, and stayed for a hot chocolate with chantilly cream. It was so good, we waited a few hours until our bellies felt empty and we went back for another round! It's one of the finest hot chocolates we've ever had - only Thomas Haas, a French chocolatier who has opened a couple of boutiques in Vancouver, has served us better (and we once had some incredible hot chocolate at Amorino in Paris, which was unexpected.) Really, it's world-class hot cocoa, served in a huge mug with a large bowl of chantilly cream, in a beautiful little dining room with colorful chairs and warm ambience. If you're in Annecy, do not miss it. It's the kind of hot cocoa that will turn you into the kind of person who gets on a plane and flies long distance just to have hot cocoa.And if you love dark chocolate, pick up a Thurries 100% bar this year - wherever they sourced their cacao from must have had a great harvest, because their pure 100% cacao bar (pure paste, no sugar) is wonderfully smooth and mild - you'll think you're eating 90% dark."

"More than a month late for the comment but it was essential to leave one. we chose the best-noted restaurant in the city and we quickly understood why it holds this position. the dishes offered are already of very high quality but the most comes from the reception and the friendliness of the person; always in good mood and joker, listening and giving very good advice. "Auberge de Savoie is located by the river in the old town. Our dinner was at dusk with lights just coming on. That with the lake and mountains in the background created a lovely ambiance. Our food matched the setting; each dish was special in taste and presentation. My wife started with beef tartare served over greens with a tasty aioli; her main was veal tenderloin with a lovely brown sauce and spring vegetables. I started with ahi served over a delicious veggie mold of fava beans and layered tomatoes and aioli on the side. My main was pan-broiled, butter basted sea bass over butternut squash and truffles with truffle ravioli. Laurent Jeannot is clearly a talented chef. We indulged in a delicious selection of cheeses followed by dessert of chocolate lava cake. We thought our meal was wonderful and paced beautifully. One treat after another! The serving staff was young (possibly were family), very competent and friendly."
