"My experience at the beach restaurant with my 11-month-old and 2-year-old looking for lunch was disappointing. There was minimal interaction from the staff, just a quick request for payment. I felt that basic questions like 'Have you been here before?' and 'How old are your children?' should have been asked. The tables were dirty with what looked like ketchup on the highchairs and table, so I had to clean them myself. I had to ask another customer how to order food and was directed to the restaurant, where I had to wait to be seated but got ignored. I ended up walking to the till to place my order. The woman who assisted me was pleasant and patient, but I was told that my food would be served in takeaway containers without crockery, which was not ideal for dining with small children. Despite the quick service, my order was missing some items and lacked napkins or cutlery. I only found these essentials upon leaving. The beach was cold, and the kids' meal, which was a cheese sandwich, was not child-friendly as it had grated cheese instead of melted. It seemed like the staff assumed I had visited before, which was not the case. Overall, it was a missed opportunity for a great dining experience. Some suggestions for improvement would be to inquire about guests' previous visits, clarify the ordering process, and ensure a warmer environment for families with children."

This is a lovely clean garden centre cafeteria with a good menu of freshly prepared food. Friendly staff and good service, with the benefit of garden centre, gift shop and kiddies beach area all on site. A bit out of the beaten track but well worth a visit.

Regularly visit and food and service always lovely. All freshly made food and a nice location into the bargain. My dad, in his 90s, goes with different family members when visiting and enjoys the fish and chips and a wee chat with staff and owners. Happily recommend for a relaxing lunch.

During our first visit to the cafe, we found the food to be good. However, the staff and service need improvement. The young girl who served us lacked manners and did not offer any pleasantries such as "thank you". She had an unwelcoming demeanor and appeared unhappy. Based on the poor customer service, I would not recommend this cafe and do not plan to return.

We have visited Craig end on numerous occasions. We do a 3.6 mile walk to get there, have something to eat then 3.6 mile walk home. When we got there today all good having worked up a hunger. I had the lasagne the wife had the burger. Lasagne was full of cheese hardly any mince. Burger was thin over cooked. Very disappointing not up to usual standards. On this showing we won't be rushing back.

We live not too far away visit every now then. Unfortunately it's never a nice experience. There's always a funny atmosphere, maybe music would help. When we were in today the blinds were pretty far down so it was hard to look out at the lovely countryside. The young girl who served us today was very competent but most staff looked unhappy we were completely ignored by the ? manager when we tried to pay. She was intent on finishing her private conversation rather than serving us. On a positive note, the cakes were nice.

On a 'normal ' Sunday run out for Coffee Cake, we struggled to find somewhere due to pre booking and C-19. Anyway we called in advance and booked a table for an hours time.Having lived less than 6 miles from this venue for 20 years, it was great to find somewhere new to visit.Friendly staff, a great location in the country.A fine selection of main meals , sides, snacks , sandwiches and drinks. We took the soup of the day (Potato Leak) each and a Chicken,Bacon,Brie Cranberry Sandwich. Washed down with a cappuccino, accompanied by an empire biscuit. Ok, so we done lunch and so glad we did. Food was fresh hot and we are looking forward to our next visit

We had a wonderful afternoon with our family at Craigend on a hot summer day! Located near Cumbernauld, south of the M73, this garden centre was a nice place to visit. We enjoyed the large sand pit, where our oldest child could play and have fun (there was a £5 child entry fee). The sand pit was filled with toys that kept him entertained for about an hour. However, the cleanliness of the tables was disappointing as there was leftover food from previous visitors that wasn't promptly cleared. The food itself was delicious with generous portions and good value for money. I ordered a Chicken Pickle Panini with a Side Salad and a Cappuccino, and was satisfied with my meal. The garden centre was w...

"I found this place by accident one day and I'm so glad I did, my Husband and I love this place and when we take our Daughter (age she loves it too. Hubby usually gets Mussels in a tomato sauce iv tried them...fabulous) The Fillet steaks are always cooked exactly the way we want (Med to rare). Can I say Iv tried Diane sauce many many times and their Diane sauce is absolutely superb (different BUT BETTER) than anywhere. Casa Mia pasta is lovely and creamy, fresh and very filling. My Daughters favourite is macaroni cheese and she absolutely loves the garlic bread with cheese. There are so many lovely dishes on their menu Iv tried most of them) and I can honestly say I have never left disappointed or hungry, I'm very surprised by previous review about portion sizes I NEVER finish my meal as I'm so full with the courses couldn't contemplate a dessert my Daughter assures me they are the best). The staff are really good at what they do even if they are mega busy they still stop to chat and always ask if we enjoyed our meal. I had been unwell with Covid and my appetite wasn't quite back so left quite a bit of my meal the last time we visited, the Manager came to ask if I hadn't enjoyed my meal as I'd left so much. I have ONE wee thing, I love Pate but don't like terrine, so Chef La Belle can I have Pate that isn't terrine, PLEASE Really fab little place please try it for yourself, I'm so glad we did. This is our go to times a month. PS, Chi Chi cocktail is devine"
