Cumin - Speisekarte

The owner of this establishment and all the staff are very professional. The food is incredible, especially the dishes with cumin.

Visited with friends recently. Service was great from start to finish. We all had different dishes, everyone commented on how nice the dishes were. Big sized portions on the mains but really great quality!

chicken thali meal , 2 chicken curries samosas ,rice ,naan bread and Aloo Gobi cauliflower and potatoes tomatoes side dish. Chicken Korai along with chips absolutely fantastic. This is now our local curry house. Staff really nice. Support your local curry house. Speisekarte ansehen

All nice and service good, but I gave it the last chance today and I’m afraid it’s very bland food.. popddoms come with coleslaw??? No lime pickle either and soggy onions.I really hoped it would be better but there are much better Indian restaurants around than this.. sorry

I was disappointed when I tried to order takeout tonight. After waiting a long time for someone to answer the phone, they informed me that they were too busy to do takeout orders. This was frustrating, especially during these difficult times. We will not be giving them our business again.

This was our second visit for the thali tapas offer on a Tuesday and it was just as good as last time. 3 curries (1 lamb, 1 chicken, 1 veg), onion bhajis, seekh kebabs, pilau rice and garlic naan bread all for the bargain price of £8.95. Everything tasted amazing and the service was fantastic. Can't wait to return again soon. The menu for the thali is changed weekly and announced in advance on their Facebook page. We have visited this restaurant twice before and enjoyed great meals, but things have changed in 2020. The service was poor, with only two staff members working - one at the reception and bar, and the other serving tables. I ordered a chicken dish that was described as being in a tomato-based sauce, but it was battered like a pakora, which was not mentioned on the menu. The keema rice was also bland. I mentioned my disappointment to the waiter, who apologized but did not offer a refund. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Excellent evening. The reception was prompt and courteous and we were asked to take a seat in the waiting area. We chose our food whilst having a drink and after a brief wait we were shown to our table . It's a relaxed and modern decor and the tables aren't close to each other . We had poppodoms for starters which came with 6 sauces each of which were superb. The mains came quickly afterwards without a long delay. Both were so fresh and tasty with the rice cooked perfectly. I had the South Indian chilli chicken dish which was spicy and amazing to taste. The drink prices are good with a bottle of red for £14. Overall an excellent evening with great food , prompt service and a reasonable cost...

I used to visit this restaurant regularly when it was Sylhet but having retired from Police Headquarters (opposite the restaurant) in 2014, I hadn 't been aware of Sylhet closing its doors about one year ago and Cumin evolving in its place. Once I became aware of this I looked at the reviews for Cumin on Tripadvisor and they were very encouraging so I booked a table for two and hubby and I went last Friday15 November. We were well known by the staff at Sylhet and always received a really warm welcome and had a chat withe manager whenever time permitted.
