"Bann's has been around for decades, and they're situated now fairly Centrally in an expensive city, so they must be doing something right, but whereas they were once a rare thing a veggie vegan restaurant- they are now just one of many, and they've been overtaken, somewhat. I stopped eating here years ago, after one too many disappointing meals. Returning now, for a work meeting, I was struck with how it was mostly the same old menu. I had the fairly bland mushroom soup, which was a 5/10, the incredibly salty stir fried veg, which was an incredibly salty 5/10 and the chocolate cake which was dry and 3/10. Dry chocolate cake is completely unforgivable. I can only presume it is made in batches and then frozen, which is a crime against baking. But, the restaurant was busy, so I guess other people still love it. I just want expensive, restaurant food to be worth the money, not merely average plates of regret."
