"It is easy when reviewing to press the 2 or 4 button and try to hold back. When you visit the Orchid, your finger will veer towards the 5 button and stay there. Having been to Tamarind and Benares, the food would not be out of place at these establishments. The food was just amazing, both meat and vegetarian dishes. The service was good and fast. We arrived half an hour late but they had kept our table.

Food and service was great. Food spicy so if you don't like it too hot then ask them to tone it down a bit. Really good for a large group. There were 10 of us and timing as good. Would recommend.

Excellent food. Starters of onion and spinach patties and perfectly cooked tandoori lamb chops were very acceptable. My dining companion likes chicken tikka masala but slightly hotter than average which they di perfectly and my chicken dhansak was very tasty. We will definitely be returning.

ask for them. were they in india and tasted authentic Indian cuisine? if they have, they will know that what is served in many British Indian restaurants is not a real representation of what is offered in this amazing country. a curry is not all about how hot you can get it, but about the spicy and taste that is put in a dish, hotter is not necessarily better.
