"This review is after a second occasion of a bad experience. Last month, I was in with my friend and my 4 month old who was asleep in her pram… short haired older woman muttered under her breath “why would you bring a pram in”… to which I asked the younger server (who she said it to) was she serious and did she actually just say that… to which it was then denied and she supposedly said “why is she bringing her in” apparently talking about a colleague bringing a friend into dlish later than day… 100% lies though, I know what I heard. And the guilty false niceness that followed from said woman to us spoke volumes about her embarrassment of being caught saying what she said. Went in again at the weekend there and straight away felt the negative vibes from same said woman when I walked in with the pram again…. Didn’t have a booking so said table for 2 plus the pram please. At this point there was about 4 or 5 free tables of 2 or more. She proceeded to tell me that they were fully booked for at least an hour (it was 12pm at this point). I just KNEW she was annoyed I had brought the pram in and was talking rubbish. So I called her bluff and said I was happy to wait. The look on her face said it all. 15 mins passed by, still 3 or 4 of the same tables empty, and another couple without a booking (I overheard) walked in, this is when it got interesting, younger server tells them no problem she will just get a table ready for them… so I gave a glance to which she asked me was I being served, older woman chimes in quite abruptly that I’m waiting because I’ve got the pram, but she’s trying to “sort something” for me…. All of a sudden there’s a magical table for us and at this point easily 40% of the tables are now free in the place… so where did this fully booked for at least an hour nonsense come from, she clearly was just annoyed we were in with the pram. To be honest, other than feeling like we had done something wrong by bringing in a pram, the service was terrible, so slow and as if the girls were hungover and couldn’t be bothered. We were told we could order drinks after 10mins sitting with a menu, but not food because the kitchen was busy (as I said it was 40% free tables)… when the food came (baked potato with cheese and a bowl of lentil soup) there was no side salad, just a semi hard baked potato, no butter on it, with a handful of grated cheese on top whacked on a plate. Overpriced and not worth £1. Lentil soup was nice but so so small for the price. I can assure you we won’t be back. Stand offish vibes and clearly don’t like people with prams going in, and they are happy to make that super obvious."

This isn't really a cafe and more like a restaurant, bookings are required and walk ins are turned away.

This place is a proper hidden gem tucked away on a small retail park. Food was fresh and homemade, with really warm and friendly staff and atmosphere. Recommended highly for breakfast or lunch if in the area or nearby.

No butter on the bread,no rolls, chicken mayo was dry, over priced, and not a smile in sight… forgot the cake we ordered £20 for 3 sandwiches which had a total of 3 sausages across the 3 of them and a panini absolute joke of a place… Speisekarte ansehen

I have been to D'Lish a few times and it seems to be popular as it is usually quite busy. My sister had a baked potato with savoury cheese and salad and I had the toasted wrap with cheese savoury filling. Finished off with lattes which came with a piece of tablet. Mmm!

Menu change for the worst nearly £10 for a baguette, portion small added on coleslaw and it lucky if it had been a teaspoon, no crisps at the side as stated on menu . very very expensive, unfortunately last time I’ll be there, will need to try other places as it’s so overpriced now for what you get.

I wanted to bring to your attention a recent issue I experienced with your establishment. I received the wrong lunch order and called to speak with a manager to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the manager's attitude was shocking, and it was clear they had absolutely no training in customer service. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I won't be returning. Speisekarte ansehen

Went to this restaurant for morning coffee and a cake with a friend. I chose a meringue which was OK, my friend chose a plain scone which was rather dry and crumbly. For these and two coffees, the bill came to £14. 95 nearly £15}. I was astounded see that I had been charged £4.95 nearly £5) for the meringue. There was no indication of this inflated price prior to ordering. Won’t be back!

Friendly warm welcome on arrival for an evening meal. Service from our waitress was great with reccomendations off the menu, which we took on board. Food was exceptional, fresh and tasty with a generous portion size! We took advantage of the set menu which had options of 2 or 3 courses. And a added extra just now, there is currently 20% off all food until 25 May 2024 (between 5pm to 8pm Thurs to Saturday. We have previously visited the bistro for lunch too which I would advise to book in advance, to prevent dissapointment. As all tables were full and I noticed walk in customers having to go elsewhere. Also, there is option to eat outside in the summer months. Lastly, there is ample parking a...
