"We recently had a spontaneous meal at an Italian pizza restaurant to celebrate the last night of our short holiday. We had been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. The calamari starter for two was excellent, with perfectly crispy fried batter, a deliciously dressed salad, and a tasty mayo dip. G ordered a pizza and I requested a calzone, which they were happy to accommodate as they can make any pizza into a calzone. Both the pizza and calzone were outstanding, perfectly cooked with no signs of being overdone. Everything was made fresh on the premises, which was evident with the large bags of flour in the shop and the genuine Italian owners running the place. It was a five-star experience overall, with friendly service and a wonderful conversation with Ivano, the owner. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"A lovely relaxed spot on the river side in Bradford on Avon with views of the bridge. It's a large modern restaurant with an open kitchen and outdoor terrace. We tried the brunch menu which had a good range of options with something for veggies and vegans, as well and lots of local produce used. The veggie cooked and mushrooms on sourdough were both excellent. Staff very attentive. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"After reading reviews and staying nearby, we decided to make a reservation at Ravello and we were glad we did. The entire experience, from beginning to end, was fantastic. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and all the staff were very friendly. The service was excellent, not rushed at all, and the food and wine selection were impeccable. It's a pity we don't live closer, as this would definitely become a regular spot for us to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others."

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious,the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly,tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines,soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
