"We absolutely adore this place. Whenever we find ourselves in Fort William, we always make sure to stop by. Our most recent visit was the best yet. After completing the West Highland Way and arriving at Glen Nevis, we were drenched and it was already late. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we were well taken care of. The team here is fantastic!!! Thank you so much."

Was staying at caravan site and had climbed Ben Nevis. Very close to site and has good selection of lagers and a few ales on draft. Expect £6 per pint.

A great place to dine (haggis, neeps, tatties and whiskey sauce) , absolutely delicious, interesting people to chat too. Reasonable prices, clean, tidy and very efficient service.

Food is served either in the restaurant (you need to book for the restaurant) or bar meals. Really good food and reasonably priced. I'm told their chicken stuffed with haggis was excellent ! Great service and terrific atmosphere.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were a bit disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. My husband had the tomahawk pork steak and I had the steak fritta, which was small and shriveled up. The desserts were okay.

Very disappointed, the portobello mushroom and halloumi burger lacked filling and the chips were over cooked. The beef burger was tough and dry.... I certainly won't be going back. The speed that the food was bought out meant it couldn't possibly be cooked fresh....

Decent food, though I felt there could have been more vegetarian options (the menu we were given was not the one as shown on Google). The sticky toffee pudding was literally the best I have tried in my entire life. Great service, pleasant atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The food is very delicious. We ordered vegan curry and mushroom burger mac and cheese. It didn't take long for the food to come out and it was very warm and delicious. I sprained my foot while hiking, but as soon as they saw me, they provided me with ice. The staff are very friendly. I would like to visit again when I come back to Scotland.

"Well equipped (if slightly impersonal) camping and caravanning site. Surrounding scenery is stunning. The restaurant looks a little unprepossessing from the outside, but the food is excellent with good, friendly service. "Stayed here two nights and it was a good two nights. The room was large as well as the bathroom. The shower had a rain shower head and it was exceptionally good with plenty of water pressure. A large bed along with a day bed provided plenty of space. The meals were very good. We ate both breakfast meals here and nothing was scrimped. They were properly prepared and very tasty. The one dinner was excellent. My wife had the beef meal and was quite satisfied with the quality of her meal. I had the pork dinner and it was perfect. There was a large wine list and several wines are sold by the glass which is good since two of us do want a bottle. This is a good place to stay and it’s at the edge of the business area which allows for a more quiet night"

"Thought the food was good. Busy Saturday afternoon but they made room for us. This is a Pub and a restaurant, and a little bit sports bar. Everyone was very mellow and we received good service. I tried a toastie, a toasted bread with fresh cut onions and tomatoes. Did not include any sauces but there were packets of mayo, ketchup, brown sauce and tarter at the table. Included a site of greens, undressed, and what seemed to be homemade potato chips .Husband had traditional fish and chips, which were well cooked. The fish is always here one very large battered fish, fried. All was tasty. He enjoyed the local beer as he was driving and didn 't want anything stronger. The big win was the sticky toffee pudding, with two spoons. Waitress asked if we wanted a side of ice cream, whipped cream or custard. Couldn 't decide she said, I 'll bring all three . I didn 't know what this was really but it looked like a round chocolate cake, but it wasn 't. Forks dipped into the toffee sauce on the bottle of the plate and a mouthful of heaven came our way. Add the ice cream and the whipped cream just added more pleasure. The custard came in a little metal cup, like for measuring. The warm vanilla custard was a sauce, so not so thick. Delicious! Hate to say, two people could not finish this dessert. Not for size, but it was so rich. Always try the foods of the country you are visiting. Usually staples for a reason. Sorry no photo. Try these dishes yourself."

"We went here based on other reviews. The place is in a curious location, in a housing estate and not the town centre which you might expect. Had some very nice pub food at reasonable prices. Good selection on menu, including vegan. Staff were helpful. Can get quite busy, so booking is advised. Plenty of parking space, which is also nice. Would certainly go back on our next visit to Fort William."

"A visit to The Crannog was a special treat for us as we toured the area on our honeymoon. And we were so glad we booked. I visited the Crannog 20 years ago and it was still as wonderful as I remember. Such a beautiful environment on the pier above the water, definitely asking for a table on the window! We saw the sun over the mountains and the gulls while we ate. The food was delicious with a good selection on the menu, perfect portions and all beautifully presented. I had to start the summer vegetable cake and he had the sweet healed herring. We followed with lemon sole and Shetland salmon and finished with honey roasted peach and pear and elder cutard tart. It's just wonderful. We received a fantastic customer service from friendly staff who took all the time to congratulate us on our wedding. What a great evening, we wish we lived closer so we could visit earlier."
