Lovely meal and asked for small portions and they were happy to oblige. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Excellent food and great service too. My only complaint would be the portion sizes are massive But for some that would be great news.

very friendly staff. eating is fab, you burger is amazing! only critique is that the service has been somewhat slow until the end of the midday period and has waited for a past on dessert and billing. 5!

fantastic food my husband said his t bone steak was the best he'd ever had friendly staff in an excellent location .we also stayed over night for bed and breakfast, well looked after.Would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely clean, Modern and comfortable rooms. Plenty of hot drink options , nice to see hot chocolate sachets as not many places provide these anymore! Nice atmosphere in the pub, lots of selection for drinks and food! The burger and duck chips was absolutely amazing, definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had. Staff are really welcoming and are happy to help with anything. Nice big car park suitable for our van also! I was travelling by the Great Western Arms, with my son, when our car was crippled by a puncture; we had to wait for the RAC and, subsequently, a tow truck and waited the the Pub car park for some time. Well before the pub officially opened, members of staff invited us inside so that we could keep warm. They provided coffee and orange juice free of charge and allowed us to sit in front of their fire. Once the pub was open we ordered food, but just as the food was ready, the tow truck arrived. This is intended as a neutral, purely factual review. Good points the one meal we had during our 2 day stay was excellent and the room was basic but comfortable. Bad points closed for meals on Sunday evening even for residents, closed all day Wednesday and no cooked breakfast until 10am on any day. We were on a boating trip on the Oxford Canal, needing a room and meals on the Sunday and Tuesday evenings in that location, where there’s nowhere else to stay. Some things had gone wrong during our stay and we appreciated being offered in compensation wine and desserts free of charge with our evening meal on the Tuesday.
