Excellent food i had the bacon brie and chuckney sandwich on brown bread with salad so nice would definitely recommend this cafe.

In my opinion, the best shortbread in the Borders can be found here. It is buttery, crisp, and absolutely delicious. It is the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea after a stroll through the Hirsel Grounds. Speisekarte ansehen

lunch on Sunday and it was great. they apologised that the meal was a little late when they were very busy, I had the chili-rib and rice and my mother had a smoked salmon bag. they were both beautiful, we'll be back.

beautiful caffe in the hirsel estate. they can pass after a beautiful walk along the abbey itself, which speaks to themselves. the food quality is amazing. interior and exterior seats. about all a pleasant experience.

The apricot schnaps and jam were delightful and heavenly. The restaurant is in a fantastic location with good service. One star was deducted for the skillfully whipped cream, though it was not enough for the portion size of the dessert. It should be either denser or more generously applied. Speisekarte ansehen

After having a lovely stroll in the grounds, we stopped off for refreshments and were delighted we did. The cafe was lovely and warm with friendly staff. We had delicious coffee with freshly baked scones in a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit for the walks, pottery shop and cafe afterwards.

The outdoor seating area at this restaurant is very good. The staff is personal, helpful, pleasant, and fast. The scene is excellent, with nice views and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there are no artisans open, which is disappointing. The parking fee of £2.50 may seem a bit steep, but it is likely necessary to maintain the property. It also appeared that there was a lot of post-storm cleanup work to be done, and many people were out walking their dogs.

Superb location, nice premises and tasty food. However, the first disappointment was having to pay £2.50 to Park. The menu is on the pricey side. Service was slow and the servers seemed a little disorganised as we had to correct and repeat our order. Strangely, you get your bill at the shop counter, so we did not have a chance to review it. The cashier read out the items on our bill, which sadly bore only a passing resemblance to what we actually had. As they use hand held devices, this was difficult to understand. Speisekarte ansehen
