attracted by many positive reviews we went to this restaurant and I must say that eating is superlative. a very delicate ham, two first, my dumpling stuffed with an exceptional sauce. Good. lamps

Ate here tonight with my husband and had an exceptional meal every dish a delight, flavoursome, well presented. I hope we can come back again but in the meantime happy to recommend this great restaurant and its friendly staff.

This is a must do for everyone that loves hospitality as it should be and loves Italian food prepared the way no one else can prepare it. I dare you, go there and you will not be disappointed. Also the wine list offers something for everyone and every budget.

The capelletti with black truffles, filled with potato and burrata were exceptional, as were the braised beef and meringues and pistacchio cream. on a cold Umbrian night we so enjoyed our meal beside the fireplace in a beautifully elegant, but not stuffy room. Tops for this area!

8 of us were schooled today in the art of Italian cooking. Francesca (the chef) and Daniele (the sous chef and interpreter) were hospitable and fun. We lunched on the food we made and were enormously pleased with how simple the recipes were and how good they tasted. Well worth the 70 euros per person!

the Franciscan house is a beautiful restaurant, offering a high-level cuisine linked to a wise oo of raw materials and the creativity of the chef. I personally tasted a delicious tartare with pynzimonium and special peas with cuttlefish. Other edible ones appreciated the tempura of pumpkin flowers to the branzino and the cut gnomes, also the green beans of the vegetable garden. the room service is entrusted to a lady of great competence and professionalism. really a good experience.

We had a fantastic day learning to make fresh pasta, turkey with vegetables, truffle fondue, and panna cotta with Francesca at her restaurant and farm. We did this as a part of a truffle hunting tour with TuscanMagic. Francesca joined us for the truffle hunt near her place and then we went back to clean the truffles and prepare for lunch. We are a family of 4 from San Francisco and truly enjoyed the afternoon. Francesca was patient and kind and her translator/souls chef was super fun and energizing. We had an amazing lunch that we prepared and it was one of the best meals of our trip.

Having enjoyed wonderful meals here, we and our friends were looking forward to a fantastic dinner. Unfortunately it was an utter let down. The staff and the butcher appear to have changed. The house starter was way short of its normal generous size and most unimaginative. The only things that were good were the duck starter and the special beef diaphragm. The fillet steak had to be replaced and my lamb was cold and devoid of meat and when I pointed this out, I was neither offered a replacement nor bill reduction. The desserts were tasty, but not as good as normal. When the red wine had been decanted, the grechetto bottle with some wine in it was taken away with one member of the party only...

The place is unexpected , in the middle of almost nowhere , but with a quite large parking lot , a terrace to eat outside . They try to serve the dishes in a non Italian way , nicely dressed and tastefully . It is fine but not the 4/5 stars we had expected . The most disappointing were the prices of the wines . They try to do their utmost you do not order the local or regional housewines that are very good as we know the area and the wine houses that produce these wines with arguments such as : I just sold my last bottle , I only can sell you 1 of the Rosato bottle because Corona prevented us to go and buy there it is only 6 km away and this Rosato house wine is 4.0 on Vivino ! , the wine is...
