Excellent, the menu is varied, interesting and delicious. Consistently good food.

What a gem this place is. Lovely inside with friendly staff. As for the food, it is top quality. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Staff were excellent couldnt do enough for us. A little disappointed with the lasagne, not much filling between the pasta sheets. Venison delicious.

Went for the first time with my wife. What can I apart from a great food experience. Great service, food was excellent plenty to choose from and will be back again to try something different.

Didn’t actually go. Rang to book a table for my husband’s birthday as we had some vouchers that were given to us as a gift. I was told that the restaurant was not taking any bookings as it is closing. The attitude towards my vouchers was “too bad”

Beautiful Food was served to our party of four. We all enjoyed our chosen dishes. I had the mussels as my starter and sea bass as my main, both were so delicious! Price wise it was reasonable as our party of four had 3 bottles of wine, plus dessert and an Irish coffee and it all came to £150, I call that very reasonable, especially with the quality of food we ate.

Well I would love to be able to review the restaurant and food but alas no .. we arrive at our booked time to find the restaurant shut … right day right time but no open restaurant… no notification from them that there was a problem, no note on the door … poor show La Rue .. we won’t t be back .. however we can recommend Jinnah the Indian restaurant ,your neighbours , fabulous meal for the 4 of us at very short notice , they saved our night .

Was a little surprised when we arrived was more like a cafe serving breakfast, brunch lunch than the small upmarket restaurant it portrays on its website. Not a problem, a packed house on Wednesday night was a really good sign. Menu we had been looking at on line had changed in small ways, so both of us were disappointed that things had changed. Bottled beer only which was served warm. When asked to change for chilled it was discovered that the fridge had broken……. Mussels could have been cleaned better poached egg was solid as were both (different) risottos. In fact everything seemed to be rather overcooked and dry. We came upon this establishment by chance rather than recommendation.We are cautious in giving too much praise, however, our experience fully merited a 5 star award. Reading the menu makes your mouth water and it is difficult to make a choice with such a comprehensive selection. However choices made and watching other customers meals being brought to the table, we thought we are in for a treat. Our meals arrived and were a visual delight. They tasted as good as they looked. They were truly delicious.My wife chose the duck breast and I chose the sea bass and we shared a portion of sweet potato chips. I am not one for superlatives but our meals were exquisite. We were in the area for 2 nights...
