It was a birthday celebration and the staff prepared a chocolate Easter egg with bunny marshmallows inside ...a surprise and a welcome treat...Our spring menu was a real treat. the restaurant room enjoys a warm atmosphere through a beautiful modern and classic decoration at once. a warm welcome by professionals who love their profession. the choices of the leader are strong and focused on the plant. the selected products are original and very well valued. a reading of the map it would not have been my first choice but the tasting changed my opinion. a beautiful stage with original dishes differentiate from the classics that can be found in most gastronomics.

Excellent creativity in the composition of the dishes. A single menu card for a table of 6. The statements of the dishes are not understandable. A map of local wines ordered by terroirs and domain names. You can't determine the red whites. A wine map not within the reach of the quidam. No reference champagne. Unknown water served as a carafe. No demand on meat cooking. We don't tighten you another kind of bread until we finish the previous piece. Lack of user-friendliness in service. Too bad.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg.The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved.We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
