"A restaurant that lives up to its name. We drew the short straw at Courtepaille. The experience was a total loss and disaster eating at the restaurant close to Ibis Hotel at Poitiers. We waited for an hour and a half for our food and when we finally got a response from the server she said it was because they ran out of the ratatouille, which we all had ordered, and that the chef decided to cook the other orders that were faster to fry up because they were rare steaks and ours would take longer because we ordered well done. (Basically choosing not to complete our orders! On our second attempt at modifying our order we waited over 30 minutes. And one of our meals was not made because they claimed they ran out of vegetables! (Grilled vegetable salad. when the food finally came, the steaks were burnt and tasted like charcoal! Paying the bill was another nightmare! The ratatouille and egg bowl and the grilled salad, which we never got were being charged! We had to speak up and and basically argue with the manager who refused to remove those two dishes because, according to her, “no one informed her that those meals were not completed. In the end after the lengthy argument they only removed the 5 euro kids meal and the 15% discount on the bill. This was a complete slap in our face and a total disrespect to us as customers. We will never be back to this restaurant again!"
