New seafood eatery catering mostly to locals, this place has an extensive oyster menu and a small menu of other exclusively seafood and fish dishes. Their 21 euro lunch menu with the Mixed seafood plate to start and the fisherman's stew as a main is hard to beat for quality and value. Note - meat lovers should go next door the rotisserie which serves meat only. Recommended

I must confess; I love oysters. Imagine by joy when we stopped to dine at Le Zinc de Clovis. We devoured an impressive seafood platter piled high with fresh oysters from Normandy. And the shrimp, prawns, cockles, periwinkles, and clams! You would have thought we hadn't eaten in days the way we consumed the entire lot! It was amazing! The freshest fare I have had anywhere. And a brilliant white wine to wash it all down with. When I return to Paris, I will return to Le Zinc de Clovis. Speisekarte ansehen

When in Paris, every year for the past few years, we make it a must to visit this restaurant. It is a small restaurant and we love the personal service (the chef/owner is very helpful with the menu & the wines) and we love the food. We delight in the freshness & the large choice of the oysters and my personal favorite entree is the scallops. For anything seafood (& there is a large choice) Le Zinc de Clovis is excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is very good. Highly recommend!

I almost hate to write this, because I'd hate to get it overrun with tourists. It's a very special small oyster and fish restaurant in the 1st Arrondissement (Paris) near both the Chatelet and Louvre-Rivoli Metro stops, and a short walk from the Louvre. Le Zinc de Clovis is like being at the shore. The specialty, oysters, are almost right out of the water. The grilled sardines are excellent, as are the shrimp and, for me, the fish soup. The soup is one of the best I've ever had. This is a friendly, casual place where you can always dress in a shirt-sleeved shirt and jeans. The food is truly splendid. The only thing that could improve it would be an ocean view, but that's hard to find in Pari...

This little restaurant is an absolute favorite with local seafood lovers, some are there every day! I am lucky enough to live above this excellent restaurant. The fish and seafood are as fresh as it gets - I fear that I'd know all about it if it wasn't! Le Zinc de Clovis is one of three supremely good restaurants in rue des Prouvaires, a very short street between rue Saint Honoré and rue Berger in the 1st Arrondissement and overlooking the great church of Saint Eustache at Les Halles. This is a wonderful area to visit, right on the western edge of the famous Marais district - a Jewish area and so mostly open on Sundays - which, importantly Zinc de Clovis is not, and not on Mondays.
