so a wonderful place. Whenever we are in this area, we make sure we visit. fabulous, beautifully prepared food with delicate flavor combinations. very friendly owners who always very much like to help. they speak perfectly English, German and of course French and are very. well-known excellent wee too. we are always looking forward to coming back.

We turned up at on our bikes (long hilly ride), asked if there was any chance of a lunch snack (we expected a no). However wonderful warm greeting and the chef Martina created a fantastic croque monsieur two croque madames! We were delighted,...the ingredients were all local and the quality exceptional. We did go back and have a superb evening meal, great wine menu!

A warm welcome awaited us, having booked in for a tasting menu for including coeliacs and vegetarian. It was a lot to ask, but we were not disappointed. A beautiful vegetable soup followed by the most succulent fish, then duck vol au...vents (with veggie and gluten-free alternatives) a cheese course and a fabulous dessert, all accompanied by the appropriate wine. In all, a very special evening when we felt well looked after in very comfortable surroundings with delightful host and talented chef. Merci beaucoup!

If you are looking for a restaurant to enjoy a fantastic dinner with your family and friends, this is the place to go. Top quality food made with passion by German TV chef Martina and her husband. Cosy ambiance. Warm and welcoming service which is...definitely a rare thing in these parts of France. Most restaurants look down on tourists. The food is without a doubt made with a high standard. Martina picks up the best local produce and cooks them to perfection. Buffalo mozzarello like you havent tasted before, oven tomatoes that look simple but are an explosion in your mouth. The most succulent grilled dorade, prime steak which melts in your mouth and to end of with a light homemade chocolate...

This was a delightful hotel. We stayed for three nights while visiting family nearby and were very happy with our choice. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortably and stylishly decorated hardly surprising given that the furniture came straight from the Ritz Carlton...in Paris thanks to the owner, Martinas connections. The welcome was equally comfortable: friendly while observing all the COVID rules. We only ate once alas but nibbled a few times around a nightcap. My husband and I have recently moved to the area and decided to try Les Contes De Bruyures on the spur of the moment this lunchtime. And we are so glad we did. We had the best meal in France we've had for years. The...lunchtime menu was fantastic and I still can't believe it was only euros. The soup was brought in a tureen for us to help ourselves and there was certainly plenty of it. A fresh salad followed with a lovely pesto dressing. The main course was leg of Poussin and sausages with gratin potatoes and sauerkraut. And finished off with a fromage frais based dessert with rhubarb and redcurrant coulis. Delicious!! we were recommended to this restaurant for our high-time jubilee party and a visit made to check it we were most welcomed by the owners and made familiar with the menus. we chose the menu that included wein. at the arrival we welcomed again and started the evening with an amuse bouche with wine. it followed a gastronomic joy of wonderful food, each cure personally presented by the chef martina and complete with a expertly selected wein of mathaeus. it must be a mention of the cheese board containing six different delicious French cheeses. we enjoyed the meal so much that we booked twice more during our vacation, each subsequent visit with another menu and each as good as the first. we also d...

of us visited for Sunday lunch. Everything was amazing! We started with homemade soup and warm bread. Full of flavour. We then moved into appetiser plates, one consisted of buffalo mozzarella and ham, whilst the other was duck terrine with cucumber. Absolutely divine....The most important part of course was the main, which was incredible. We had plates of entrecôte, one cooked more to the rare side and the other more to medium. Outstanding steak, cooked to perfection and rich in flavour. Served with potatoes and green beans, with a tomato and red pepper sauce.
