Les Verriers - Speisekarte

A local restaurant and very popular with locals as well.... A bargain and the food is excelent.... The plate de jour is absolutely spot on and comes with 1/4 of wine or water.... choose between 1 - 2 or 3 courses......The dessert selection is superb as well as the cheesboard...Never have been put down with the food and the staff is polite, cherfull and very efficient....Can't fault anything really.... Be aware of the rush at noon time...most locals...try to come laterand you will be able to enjoy your food and relax when the locals goes back towork...

We visited the town of Biot and had lunch at Les Verriers restaurant located next to the glass blowers just outside the old city. It appeared to be a local restaurant (not touristy), and that was confirmed when the servers could not speak English. We were able to vaguely understand the menu after a discussion with the server. My wife ordered chirozo in tomato stew with rice and salsa and I ordered the special of the day, Steak Tartare with olives and pine nuts. The tartare was served in hamburger form, accompanied by french fries. Both were very good and an unexpected nice surprise.

We've lunched at Les Verriers about six times now, and on each visit the food was at least good and sometimes very good. Last time around there was a daily special that my food French could not identify. My husband ordered it anyway, and it turned out to be a carmelized ham hock just about falling off the bone. It was amazing and SO delicious! The house pastas are reliable--when the one with sauce au Roquefort is offered, grab it-- and the desserts quite nice.The restaurant is in the little plaza that holds the glassblowing factory and the fine Corning International Art Glass Museum--that is a "don't miss."

We have been travelling to the Côte d'Azur for the past fifteen years and cannot believe we have not stumbled across this amazing restaurant before. It is quite well hidden however, & only open at lunchtime between 12md & 2pm. It is utilised mostly by locals & even a reservation is required, due to its overwhelming popularity. The food is amazing... A three course lunch & a 250ml carafe of wine for €17! It is helpful if you can get by in French, as only one of the ladies serving us could speak 'minimal' English! The staff were all lovely & extremely efficient. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed!

We went to this restaurant to celebrate the maternity leave of one of my colleagues. As we went for lunchtime, we could choose the daily menu, which has a reasonable price.I ate a steak and had a dessert, both were very good, and they prepared the meat as I asked for it. Good point!In fact everything was nice, the food, the venue, even the waitresses were nice to us, but sometimes they were a bit forgetful. We asked for some glasses, three times, they always said that they would arrive in a minute. In the end I grabbed some from another table, the waitresses saw it, but they did not even say sorry. But the food is more important than the glasses. I recommend this place for the daily menu!

We visited the Verrerie at Biot today and had lunch at the restaurant on the same site. We expected it to be pretty average but were surprised to be asked whether we'd booked and lucky to be allocated a table on the terrace. All the remaining tables were full and most diners appeared to be locals. My husband had the linguine carbonara and a beer, I had Chicken Caesar salad and for dessert we shared a Cafe tres gourmand (6 mini desserts!). All the food was exceptional, and the whole lot came to just 38 euros We only wanted a light meal but there were 7 daily specials on top of the standard menu plus about 10 luscious desserts and everything looked delicious. Service was friendly and efficient...

My fiancé and I were excited to eat at this restaurant, located conveniently across the street from the glass blowing factory. We arrived at 1:15 and were advised to order an aperitif with the wait for a table being "about five minutes". We ordered two Perriers and settled in to wait. Twenty minutes later, we were told we could be served in our garden lounge seats as no tables were free. Fifteen minutes after that, we were still waiting for menus, so we paid and left, barely making it to another restaurant in Biot proper before the lunch service ended. It is 12 months since I wrote a very positive review on this restaurant, how things appear to have changed since last year... .!We booked well in advance for a table accommodating four people for lunch. We arrived on time & promply shown to our table in a shady corner. We were handed menus, but then completely ignored. We sat there, trying to attract attention to order for fifty minutes! We were about to walk out when a French gentleman on the next table went to speak to a member of the waiting staff about our the long wait. Not sure what to think - we were recommended to eat there. The restaurant is hard to find, just behind a Glassblower. But we were honestly a bit disappointed. Our reservation was somehow lost or forgotten by the staff, but there was a table available so we were kind of ok. Then we had to wait a bit - my food was cold when it was served - went back to the kitchen, where it was newly prepared again (That is a positive comment indeed!), but by the time i got my food, everybody else was finished, and i was very hungry. So that did not go too well and then, honestly - the food was anything but exceptional. It was very ordinary like we can eat in any restaurant in the region - so why go there ?All...
