Great location and good service but this did not compensate for the tasteless, overcooked and unappetising food. It is the first time in a French restaurant that we have left most of our meal on the plate.

Good restaurant to try typical french cusine. Quite good menu and wide range of the dishes if you do not like menu set. Comfortable place to spend evening. Polite staff. "Tartar du beef" was perfect. Bon appetit!

A great place to eat with lots of atmosphere. Friendly and fast service. If you're looking for something a bit less formal it's worth a try, and is better for vegetarians who aren't always well catered for on most menus in French restaurants. Speisekarte ansehen

This was a breath of fresh air after some bad or mediocre experiences. The place was buzzing. The food was different but very good. The desserts were fantastic. Cost per couple for 3 course with wine 60 - 70 Euros. We came one night and brought 5 more the next.Well worth a visit

We pretty much liked the atmosphere in this restaurant/bar to take a drink but when we asked for the bill the waiter told us a random price which was (after calculating by ourselfs) too high. We asked to see the bill and he let us wait a long time before coming back still without a bill. Again I asked for the bill and in the end he brought it and at looking at it said: "Oh, seems like I miscalculated!"

We found this place thanks to TripAdvisor.It's tucked around the back and does not appear set up for tourists....which is good as we prefer things more traditional.The menu is all in French but the staff will help where they can.We opted for the three course set menu at €23 each....The choice is a little limited but this is still good value. We had an amazing meal here. Every dish was a surprise in its presentation and quality. The Gazpacho was served with a tomato sorbet on top. A starter of three layer panacotta was a taste sensation. Foie gras with a strawberry vinaigrette, pasta with lightly cooked salmon, and crisp vegetables just right. The presentation of the chocolate lava cake, a little tower of piped cream and ice cream was top class.Family run, lovely service, busy place so do try and book. Worth the little walk to Rue des Teinturieres with the old waterwheels. Congratulations to this restaurant.

Everything about the food here screams care, freshness, attention to craft and detail. Excptionally good value. We just chanced upon it. Popular with locals although we noted a number of English speakers there too. A bit off the beaten tourist track but definitely worth hunting it out. We had the gazpacho which came with a mozzarella cheese base and a tomato sorbet and slices of green tomato. Not only did it taste good but it looked good too. We also had the daurade which came with a modest sized portion of half a dozen seasonal vegetables and puree potatoes. Absolutely perfectly cooked fish - crispy skin yet moist. The prices are modest. We would love to eat like this everwhere.

We visited this restaurant and this street at our hotel's suggestion, especially after being told it was more for locals than tourists. My boyfriend and I each ordered from the fixed price menu for about 24 Euros each, and we felt we received good value for our money. His panecotta appetizer was unique, and my gazpacho was just destructed enough to be particularly delightful. The real winner of the night, though, was the salmon pasta dish we devoured, made with homemade pasta and gravlax prepared in house. Wow! The wine and beer prices are very reasonable, the lava chocolate cake is yummy, and the atmosphere is perfect. As this was our first restaurant of the trip, it will be a tough one to...
