"I visited O'Grand Breton on a bank holiday for lunch with my wife and 2 year old son. We had a lovely time. We've lived in Paris for 6 months and it's by far the best meal we've had in or around the city since...we moved here. Great service and food and wine at amazing value for money. A lot of restaurants in Paris are extremely child unfriendly, but O'Grand Breton prides itself on welcoming children of all ages there is highchairs and a changing table in the toilet. They were extremely accommodating this is rare to find in Paris. If you are visiting Paris then it’s well worth a trip here for lunch. It's also right next to the Basilica Cathedral if you like gothic art and/or old buildings. I look forward to taking my parents for lunch here when they visit us from the UK."

wishing to have dinner before a show at the basilica, we entered, by chance, in this small restaurant. a divine surprise: an irreproachable welcome with a simple, friendly service; a chef who knows how to mix flavours, without any pretention but with quality, nice little wines. a real success for an excellent quality/price ratio. a recommend without any hesitation.

We went to visit the Basilica at St. Denis, which oddly enough was on strike? What union represents dead kings! This did, however, give us the chance to dine at O' Grand Breton and it was the best. A very warm welcome by Marc, I'm...assuming from other reviews and I think our waitress must have been Scarlet Johansens sister. The service was prompt and friendly but the food is the star. I had a piece of fish that was cooked perfectly. Moist yet flaky with rice and veggies. My wife had a very large veggie meal that she enjoyed. The restaurant has a modern feel unlike many in Paris but the service and taste is definitely what one would consider Parisian. This is a great restaurant, highly recom...

"We only tried CO because it was around the corner from our cousin's flat in the less stylish 18th arrondissement, near Porte de Clignancourt, and she'd heard some good things about it from friends. After a week of satisfying, but therefore predictable traditional French cooking, our dinner at CO was a real surprise. Their excellent Icelandic chef comes out with his equipe to serve each course, and everything they served was breathtaking. With a party of five, we ordered everything officially offered on the menu (although we observed a diner, evidently a friend of the owner, who ordered 'hors de la carte'). My wife and I ordered the vegetarian 'menu of the fields': baked and fried shallots, in a 'soup' of fermented celeriac, with crunchy, bready bits underneath and smoked kelp. Main was a single, incredible leek, served with a stripe of vinagrette, enriched with violet mustard, and a side of new potatoes and relish of leek. Our companions got the cockerel and the mackerel (a poem about the meal would therefore be 'doggerel'), each quite creative and using all the bits. I suppose you could call the approach 'molecular': a powder over the leek was in fact a sort of ash made from the greens, and some of the fermented elements of the meal, such as the celeriac soup of our starters, were first vacuumed with a bit of salt, then left for two weeks.Everything was bursting with flavour, the combinations utterly surprising but everything worked. Add to that the fact that the whole atmosphere is quite casual and relaxed, and one only wonders how long this chef will be working in such an out-of-the way restaurant."
