"I was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant. I had initially thought it was a dingy pub, but it turned out to be fresh and colorful with cheerful Christmas decorations. The staff were friendly and our orders were promptly served. We all enjoyed our meals, although I must say that the wheaten bread in my open prawn sandwich was too hard and dense for my liking. Everything else was delicious."

Really love the food here, in my opinion it's a tad pricey, due to this I don't eat here to often. Would still recommend for a good meal.

This was my first time dining in the bar downstairs. I ordered and paid at the bar, and my food was served promptly in a cozy booth. I had the roast beef dinner, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I have been in ownies for a drink only a few times over the years. This time I went for a meal and was not disappointed, the staff where excellent and so helpful, the chef produced an awesome feast and I would give him 10 out of 10, it was delicious . Recommend 100%, I haven't met chef but a big cheers to him. Thank you very much.

"I had made a reservation for 7:30pm at The Mayur, but by 8pm we were still waiting to be seated. Despite a couple without a reservation being seated, the owner suggested we share a table with them. This poor customer service and apparent overbooking left us very disappointed. We have been regular customers at The Mayur for both dining in and takeout, but after this experience, we walked out and will not be returning. Instead, we found a lovely meal at another Indian restaurant in Carrick. If I could give The Mayur a 0 rating tonight, I would."

"In my opinion, this is the best takeaway in Carrickfergus. Everything is incredibly fresh, and the fact that it's all prepared right in front of you really makes a difference. The owners are a lovely couple who are more than willing to customize your meals to your liking. My personal favorite is the pork pad kapow, although every other dish I’ve tried has been excellent as well. I also want to give a little shoutout to the pork spring rolls—they're fantastic! "A random peek on trip adviser brought this to our attention and we arrived at 3pm. A lovely welcome from staff and drinks order promptly placed.. The starter of prawn salad was set off perfectly by the homemade wheaten bread. Followed by main courses consisting of a duo of escalope of chicken and melt in the mouth ribs and gammon steak pineapple. The chunky 'real ' chips just made our day. Again staff were mingling to make sure all customers were content. During fhis a cricket team were also catered for with no drop in service to restaurant customers. Finally the sticky toffee pudding, caramel sauce and honeycomb ice-cream finished this most satisfying meal. P.s. pudding home made too. Last comment must be mmmmmmm. Make this a stop if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed."

"tonight, my partner went her father and our two children to Josh-Macs in carrickfergus, this would I mean and the partner before location, although the last couple were the best with increasing trips in takeaway thought we were going to have a real...feed from the beginning it was clear that they could not cope with the pressure of the people who were in the restaurant that the workers stopped ordering. we got our drinks ordered and waited for ten minutes for drinks and a shot. we then asked that the child's meal comes out at the same time as ours started again the child's meal was delayed a few minutes. the main thing when the main thing came my burger was completely wrong with food I didn't like. I said, and they took it back, I was told it would be at least ten minutes for my food, so I told them to delete it because my partner and her father had already eaten and I had eaten by myself. the waitress said she couldn't do anything else for me after she offered me a free drink. So she said I'm going to send my administration. no manager came over no personal came near us to see if everything else was in order, no person seemed to care how they stood to talk about the floor and the servier area. when I said at the til at the payment, a not very warm sorry was said and seemed to care. absolutely shameful, and I and my larger family will never be used again to be out of place. you have lost."
