"I had made a reservation for 7:30pm at The Mayur, but by 8pm we were still waiting to be seated. Despite a couple without a reservation being seated, the owner suggested we share a table with them. This poor customer service and apparent overbooking left us very disappointed. We have been regular customers at The Mayur for both dining in and takeout, but after this experience, we walked out and will not be returning. Instead, we found a lovely meal at another Indian restaurant in Carrick. If I could give The Mayur a 0 rating tonight, I would."

"In my opinion, this is the best takeaway in Carrickfergus. Everything is incredibly fresh, and the fact that it's all prepared right in front of you really makes a difference. The owners are a lovely couple who are more than willing to customize your meals to your liking. My personal favorite is the pork pad kapow, although every other dish I’ve tried has been excellent as well. I also want to give a little shoutout to the pork spring rolls—they're fantastic! "I was pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant. I had initially thought it was a dingy pub, but it turned out to be fresh and colorful with cheerful Christmas decorations. The staff were friendly and our orders were promptly served. We all enjoyed our meals, although I must say that the wheaten bread in my open prawn sandwich was too hard and dense for my liking. Everything else was delicious."

"tonight, my partner went her father and our two children to Josh-Macs in carrickfergus, this would I mean and the partner before location, although the last couple were the best with increasing trips in takeaway thought we were going to have a real...feed from the beginning it was clear that they could not cope with the pressure of the people who were in the restaurant that the workers stopped ordering. we got our drinks ordered and waited for ten minutes for drinks and a shot. we then asked that the child's meal comes out at the same time as ours started again the child's meal was delayed a few minutes. the main thing when the main thing came my burger was completely wrong with food I didn't like. I said, and they took it back, I was told it would be at least ten minutes for my food, so I told them to delete it because my partner and her father had already eaten and I had eaten by myself. the waitress said she couldn't do anything else for me after she offered me a free drink. So she said I'm going to send my administration. no manager came over no personal came near us to see if everything else was in order, no person seemed to care how they stood to talk about the floor and the servier area. when I said at the til at the payment, a not very warm sorry was said and seemed to care. absolutely shameful, and I and my larger family will never be used again to be out of place. you have lost."

"I recently spent a few days here visiting family and friends. This hotel is rich in history and reportedly has its own ghost that roams the halls, though unfortunately, I never sensed her presence! It's a unique establishment and, while our room was a bit dated, it was impeccably clean. Everything functioned well, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast is included in the rate, offering options like cereal, toast, or a traditional Ulster fry. We also had dinner twice during our stay, and the meals were not only generously portioned but also excellent, especially when enjoyed with a proper pint of Guinness! The staff was consistently friendly and went out of their way to assist us. It's been many years since we've visited Carrick, but I would definitely choose to stay here again."
