Just passing and we thought we'd just pop in as we were hungry. So glad we did, the service, attention and food was excellent. Next time we're in Brightlingsea we'll definitely visit.

We had an amazing buffet lunch on Sunday at this restaurant. The food was excellent, with starters, mains, rice, and Naan all included. The dishes were extremely tasty and the portions were very generous. Overall, it was great value for money.

Decent price for main dishes but over priced for small things like drinks and naan for example 1 naan is £3.05! Also when you sit down the ask if you would like popodoms and in the bill 1 popodoms is around £2! Verry disappointing, not coming back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I have dined at Raj before and have always been pleased. This time, we decided to order a takeaway for delivery. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, especially the extra spicy masala that the chef made specially for us. The mushroom rice was flavorful and delightful. Overall, everything was prepared excellently and we will definitely dine in again when we are in the area. The staff is friendly and attentive, and we have even received complimentary food or drinks on occasion. I highly recommend Raj. Thank you!

Having received starters as part of our meal, the waitress began distributing the dinner plates for the main meal and in doing so, a small dead insect fell from between the stack of plates she had hold. Upon realising that the insect fell onto the table, the waitress quickly attempted to remove the insect however in doing so, removed the body but left the head of the insect. The waitress then disappeared to the kitchen and returned with a male member of staff who then attempted to serve the main course.
