fantastic pub was not the easiest start in October 2020, but the new renter has taken it with new menu new outdoor seating and children's playground fantastic service from the employees and large pub grub would highly recommend

We booked 30 mins in advance on remembrance Sunday no problem. A very generous Sunday lunch with plenty of veg, large Yorkie n stuffing, 3 large slices of roast beef/roast pork perfectly cooked. The only thing was too generous with the gravy the veg a tad overcooked veg for our liking we both thought. Would recommend still, lovely atmosphere welcoming, £12 each. Thankyou

beautiful country style pub with very low beams, they think their head 6 footers. eating is excellent and beautiful with many extras. all kinds of beer on tap. the staff are friendly and try to care for all their needs. well worth a visit, and I'll come back because that was my first visit. I and my partner have booked lunch here on Valentine's Day! it was fantastic, they made a real effort with decorations on the tables, the eating was delicious and service was good. The only bad point I have is that a few employees are a little shy to talk to their heads, I could hardly hear what they said. overall it was a nice evening with delicious food! I would definitely recommend the burgers!

The Red Lion has been on a rocky road for a few years, but I’m delighted to report that it’s back, and fully restored in terms of quality of food, surroundings, value for money and service. This oasis of joy has everything: great food at astonishingly low prices, warm and swift service from lovely ladies, plenty of car parking, comfortable seating and surroundings. In these difficult days of smaller portions and higher prices, the Red Lion stands out as the best value for money for miles around. The new owners, Amanda and Rob, deserve great praise, and my chums and I will come here every chance we get. I can’t think of another pub within a 30 mile radius which is this good. Family get together, 8 of us. The meal was booked well in advance together with pre-ordering. We were booked in for 2pm and just about on time we were shown to our table. We waited and waited, we drew the attention of one of the staff who said she wood find out why we had not been served. Apparently the pre order had been mis-placed. Another member of staff came to check our order. We had ordered 8 roast beef dinners plus one to take away so 9 in total. We waited and waited, it was suggested by one of the group that we should just leave, we decided to give them a little longer. Eventually just after 3.15pm 4 dinners arrived.
