Went for a business lunch. Good daily menu and a la carte. Very good service. Lovely wood panelled dining room. Lunch for two without alcohol, but with coffee was CHF 86 with tip. Schöne Terrasse am Seeufer. Sehr guter Service; Der Patron und seine Frau sind deutlich zu sehen. Das Essen ist erstklassig: Wir genossen Kalbspaillard, Zürcher Kalbsgeschnetzeltes in Rahmsauce mit Rösti, Hechtfischfilets und unsere vegane Freundin war mit ihrem veganen Burger zufrieden. Feine lokale Weine. Die Preise sind hoch, aber dies ist die Goldküste des Zürichsees und die Aussicht lohnt sich.

I ate here several times for dinner, both alone and in a group. The food is quite good, of a fine dining caliber. Menu has options for vegetarians too. In the spring they had a special asparagus menu. It is nice to sit outside when the weather is nice as there's a great view of Lake Zurich and the restaurant has a pretty trellis with lights. Inside ambiance is nice too. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood or vicinity.

It's always great when you revisit a place after a long time. The Restaurant Sonne is not only a lovely place but the are very successful in maintaining a great variety of food in outstanding quality. However, this time the service was what impressed me most. Hopefully it's correct - Nadine - from Germany was our waiter and this was just simply great. She had a natural customer focus, friendliness and happiness that really spread across the restaurant.so go there and get the food and customer focus experience - if you don't, I definitely will. Das Restaurant Sonne liegt direkt am See. Das Selbstbedienungsrestaurant im Garten ist gut organisiert, verfügt über einen Spielplatz für Kinder und vermittelt ein Sommer-/Urlaubsgefühl. Das Essen, das wir hatten (Flammkuchen und Frisky Planted Chicken), war leider zu fettig. Dem Flammkuchen mit Tomate und Mozzarella fehlten Tomaten, selbst nach dem Geschmack meines 9-Jährigen. Das knusprig gepflanzte Hähnchen war frittiert und ölig und mein Magen war danach nicht sehr glücklich darüber. Das Beste war der Maiskolben. Servicefreundlichkeit könnte verbessert werden.

My wife and I visited the main restaurant in the Romantik Seehotel Sonne twice this month on the occasion of our birthdays. On both occasions we were extremely impressed and consider this to offer a high quality and complete dining experience, possibly the best in Zürich. It delivers a complete package to delight the senses. Firstly, parking is not a problem as it has valet service with security. The hotel reception dealt with our enquiries quickly & efficiently - then we had just a few steps over a little internal bridge in the hotel to get to the restaurant door.
