"I live locally and have eaten here a few times before without any problem, however i ordered a takeaway last night (Bank holiday Monday) at 5.45pm being told to collect in 25 mins. We arrived at Sanuk and ended up waiting 1.10hr. Whilst waiting we were told on three occasions Sorry just 5 more mins and of course that wasn 't true. As annoyed as i was i wouldn 't have minded if they just managed my expectations and said something like sorry, we are short staffed or we are waiting on some ingredients to be delivered The restaurant itself was empty, not one customer so i just didn 't understand why it took so long. After missing putting my child to bed i had to settle for a very average meal with no compensation or real apology"

We have visited the Sanuk for many years. It is now under new ownership. We have had a good take away, a meal with friends, and more recently with family. The staff are very friendly and will do anything to make your evening a good experience. At my daughters 18th without asking, they provided a cake with candles , sang happy birthady and gave us all a glass of prosecco, fantastic! I would say they should stay just with Thai food, and not go into less popular chinese dishes. Just my opinion. The food is good, and I will be back.

Food was very nice but the service was quite slow and a little disorganised we had two courses and were in there for three hours. The takeaways seemed to take preference over the diners as we kept seeing food go past in bags to the front which was a little frustrating. The restaurant wasn't full either so maybe extra staff needed at the weekends. The manager did apologise at the end for the service speed (he said due to large takeaway orders) and gave us all a free after dinner drink which was appreciated. The food itself was good, we had sharing platter to start and then a variety of dishes for the mains which were all enjoyable. The restaurant itself is nice inside as well.
