Quick and attentive staff. Little confusion as to where we could sit with our dog but that may have been our error in not reading signs? Food was served quickly and was hot and perfectly cooked. Very friendly place to visit. We will definitely be back.

I celebrated my 50th birthday weekend at this restaurant, and it was fantastic. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious, and the room was charming. They also did a great job accommodating disabilities. I can’t wait for our next visit. A huge thank you to the entire team!

Staff were very friendly and polite but unfortunately the chef thought it was acceptable to send the chicken burger out like this, it was almost all burned, after I have plucked all the burnt pieces off, I could taste it in the chicken, my boyfriend who always finishes my food, even refused it. I would give more than five stars if possible! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is absolutely perfect. There’s also a fantastic selection of drinks. We've tried several places in Aberystwyth, and this is by far the best spot for dining, drinks, and a relaxed environment. It's very kid-friendly too! Keep up the great work, everyone!

Awful place! Went as a large group. The place was empty yet we were seated next to another large group of people! Food was served to adults first and we had to ask where the kids meals were! When they eventually came out the adults had already finished eating and the kids food was overcooked. Also had to ask where the sides were! In the end we cancelled our puddings and left. Very disappointed

Worst experience this evening, staff were lovely but the food was horrible, tiny portions for the price and the gammons were luke warm/cold and absolutely full of grease it was dripping off it as you picked it up with a fork, came here when it first started and the food was delicious then but now it's completely gone down hill, thought we'd give it another chance after the last time we received a soggy bun when ordering a cheeseburger when stated as a toasted bun, and to be seated next to a place full of dust is disgusting, not a very clean place to be honest, even the forks had food stains on them, will not be returning as you can see in the photos of how disgusting it really is. This pub serves as the check-in point for the hotel next door. We had meals there on two different occasions, and to be honest, we didn't end up eating much of what we ordered. The prices are reasonable, but the plates were loaded with salad and garnishes compared to the actual food. Some might appreciate this, but I asked for the extra veggies to be removed and still received a dish piled high with them. The atmosphere felt a bit slow at times, but the staff were friendly and accommodating. Would I choose to eat there again? Probably not, though it does tend to get busy during dinner service, so it can't be all bad. If you’re looking for a place that offers a carvery or a satisfying Sunday...

It's average. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but definitely not the worst. We booked 2 rooms but only 1 was ready at check-in but this was due to them being a team member down in house keeping. The room was okay. The bed was comfy and lighting was good. However there was a huge stain on the sofa bed, nets had dirt on them and the toilet roll holder was falling off of the wall. 1 of the 2 mugs were dirty. Photo evidence can be provided if needed. Other than that, it was fine. Convenient location and easy to find. I would recommend that more tea, coffee and sugar should be put into the rooms. I really don 't like to make negative comments about place like this and I 'm quite understanding of the difficulties they can have, but this was a genuinely disappointing experience. The first thing that struck, was the food scraps left under the table, which doesn 't give a great impression regarding cleanliness. The table we were given had two heights, which created obvious issues regarding drink stability. The menu is quite varied, with a couple of vegan a some vegetarian options on offer. The prices appear a little on the expensive end of the scale, as it 's hardly Michelin standard.
