"Tawa offers a great variety of Indian dishes that go beyond the standard fare. The menu features an equal mix of vegetarian and meat options, offering traditional flavors along with innovative twists to please different palates. From the appetizers to the main courses, each dish was beautifully presented. Our total bill came to a reasonable £120 for four, which included starters, mains, drinks, and tip. Given the quality of the food, the enjoyable ambiance, and the exceptional service, I found it to be a fair price for a memorable dining experience. If I had to offer one critique, it would be that the tables are a bit cramped, necessitating some careful navigation of our space. Additionally, while the restaurant has a modern, industrial vibe—which is appealing—it feels more suited for a quick meal than for a leisurely evening out. Overall, Tawa Indian Restaurant in Cambridge is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine. Its close proximity to the train station, combined with outstanding service and a vibrant menu, makes it an excellent choice for dining with friends or family. **Service:** Dine-in **Meal type:** Dinner **Price per person:** £30–40 **Food:** 5 **Service:** 5 **Atmosphere:** 4 **Recommended dishes:** Chicken Biryani **Recommendation for vegetarians:** Somewhat recommend **Vegetarian offerings:** Large vegetarian selection"

The food was really lovely. Flavoursome but also light and delicate. The only thing that could have been better was it felt quite cramped. We (myself and 2 others) were sat on a small table that felt like it was for 2. It was tricky to fit our food and drinks on the table. However the service was warm and friendly and we would definitely return because of this and how good the food was.

Discovered a gem of an urban-style Indian restaurant in Cambridge. Arrived at opening time (5 PM) to a full house, but luckily snagged a table available for 1.5 hours. The biryani here is a game-changer, especially with its unique bread-wrapped rice presentation. Perfectly spiced, not too salty or oily, it's a delight for anyone into healthy yet flavorful food. A must-try for Indian cuisine lovers! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Biryani

Our server, Swati, was both friendly and humble. She recommended the restaurant’s signature dish, and we decided to try the chicken biryani, which was fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Tawa Kitchen, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cambridge. I wish Swati and the entire team at Tawa Kitchen much success! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Food rating: 4/5 Service rating: 5/5 Atmosphere rating: 5/5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Biryani, Chicken Chettinad, and Tadka Dal Vegetarian recommendations: Highly recommend due to a large selection of vegetarian options. Visited on the recommendation of a colleague. The store is located on the first floor of a building in the Cambridge Station area that is being redeveloped. There are many Indian restaurants in the UK, but this one has the impression of being an Indian fusion restaurant. It has a stylish appearance and was quite busy when I visited on a Sunday night. The highlight dish is biryani. I was surprised to find that the biryani served looked like a pot pie, which was different from the biryani I had eaten in Japan. When you dig into the pie crust, there is plenty of biryani inside. It was a dish that was enjoyable for both the eyes and the tongue. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person...

Almost hidden around the back of a large building on Station Road, Tawa have the advantage of being away from busy traffic, yet close to the main Cambridge station. I booked a table for two there on the recommendation of a friend who really knows his food! and thoroughly agree with him: this place is producing excellent cuisine. Given the mild evening, we initially sat outside for drinks, nibbles and starters, before heading inside for the main course. There are plenty of dishes on the menu you will recognise, some with a 'twist, and quite a few that are different to the norm but sound delicious! It 's worth noting that vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters are well catered for. Possibly my fa...

"added dropwise for a pizza on the afternoon without reservation, and we were warmly welcomed and set immediately. the smell of reifer tomatensauce and gooey mozzarella in the stone oven under fire baked was an salutation to the sinnen. the restaurant was filled with a pleasant humor of talking and laughing, the sound of the teigs chopped in the kitchen, and the familiar sound of tellers and cutlery picked up and put down again - all with weak Italian music plays in the background. the ambiente was a tasteful hauch of seafoam blue on the wooden wall panels and equipped with sturdy furniture with red chili oils, salt and peppers and various types of fresh crimp on each table. a table can have salvia, another basilikum, the next coriander. a charming, subtler node to the l 'arte d 'arrangiarsi the art of making something from nothing of pizza. the menu was easy and easy to navigate, nothing to slandered level and nothing too adventurous. we ordered a pesto pizza and we asked for extra tomato sauce to which our server would be happy insured. after many times we came to our table customers and sleeps! the pesto had a tasteful taste and was pleasant tangy, the tomato sauce was juicy and not quite watery, and the mozzarella was evenly distributed and reached every end of the teigs. the best part, however, was the thick, soft resistance of the crust - not even the least incineration, but just at the right time pulled out of that. a 1 x 1 ' ft perfectly presented pizza. the, with two fizzy drinks, for less than 20 £. will return for the same, but with the intention to add a little red wine."
