Love this place! It's perfect for any occasion—whether it's a Sunday carvery with family, a casual dinner with friends, or a special night out. The menu has something for everyone, the staff is friendly, and there's an outdoor playground for the kids.

We hosted our wedding reception at The Anchor on Saturday, and it was such a beautiful location! The food was amazing, and everything went perfectly. Everyone had a great time. A big thank you to everyone at The Anchor for making our day so special! XXXX

I celebrated my 31st birthday at this pub, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is very cozy, especially with the real fire welcoming you at the entrance. The food was absolutely delicious, with fantastic roast dishes that I can't recommend enough! The cauliflower cheese alone is worth a trip back! Service: 5, Location: 5.

Why didn't we mention it? We were all very hungry, it was a special celebration, and we didn’t want to cause a scene. Additionally, we had informed the restaurant beforehand about the birthday celebration and were promised a special acknowledgment (a birthday platter), but nothing of the sort was presented. Even when we brought this up while paying the bill, there was no recognition of the oversight. Unfortunately, some family members have decided they won't be returning. To the kitchen: please don’t serve delicious food at lukewarm temperatures, and if you promise to acknowledge a celebration, make sure to follow through. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal here last week. They have an excellent 'specials ' board which included a 'fish of the day '. In fact, my husband opted for the Hake. I chose the gammon steak. Great service, served with a friendly smile. Attentive, efficient staff. A talented chef too, as the food was perfectly cooked, tasty, and well presented. We 've been in here before and they are consistently good. The desserts were mouthwatering delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tiramisu cheesecake ... Wow! It was sublime. They have good local ales. I 'd advise booking in the bar areas as for me, it 's nicer than the main dining area. It feels cosier and more intimate. Horses for courses though.... Speisekarte ansehen
