Lovely pub with comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and friendly staff, traffic noise can be an issue if you have a front facing room.

I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms, but the food and service in the pub were outstanding. The portion sizes were generous, especially the sharing platters, which are ample enough for three to four people. Service: 5 Location: 5.

Food ok, service fine. We normally visit the Bankes when we are in Corfe Castle, roughly annually. The last couple of times, I would say it was functional, but not special. Good central location for the castle and the train station though. Service: 3 Location: 5

I felt belittled by the bartender and two locals when I simply asked if dogs were allowed in the bar. They then proceeded to give my dad attitude for requesting two half pints. The building itself is beautiful, but sadly, the same cannot be said for its patrons. I would not recommend this place at all. Service: 1, Location: 5.
