"While strolling through Ashbourne, we stumbled upon The Bridge, which is a part of the Marstons company. We decided to have dinner there and were impressed by the excellent service. The tables were clean and since it was a Monday, the restaurant was not very crowded. We ordered two burgers with cheese and bacon for our mains, which arrived quickly and were delicious. The portions were generous and we struggled to finish everything, including the homemade coleslaw, onion rings, and chips. Overall, the meal was fantastic and I would highly recommend it if you have a big appetite. We also tried the mince and onion pie, which was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a side of green peas and a gravy boat. The pastry was flaky and flavorful, unlike some other places where it can be dry. Once again, the portion size was more than enough. We wanted to order dessert, but we were too full from our mains to indulge. Perhaps we will have to save room for it next time."

Very good service, drinks okay, but no quality draft ales which is a big shame. Menu seemed okay but abit pricey so we didn't have food. Looking at other customers they seemed happy with quality of food. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Speisekarte ansehen

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the service, thanks to Ellie, was excellent. Overall, it's a good and peaceful place to dine that is very family-friendly. The price per person is between £1 and £10. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. We enjoyed the delicious and tangy homemade curry at this restaurant. Molly and Carmella provided attentive service during our family dinner at 7pm on a Tuesday. The prices were great value for money, and the restaurant was kid-friendly. The price per person was between £10-20. The food was rated a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. We recommend trying the hamburger. Speisekarte ansehen

Ellie provided excellent service for me and my family today. The food was incredible - not a single bite left on our plates. I highly recommend this restaurant to others. In terms of kid-friendliness, our shy children were greeted by Ellie in a polite and friendly manner. The price per person is between £10-20. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5. I recommend trying the Fish and Chips.

We made a reservation with our two greyhounds for dinner and were informed that there would be no issues as the restaurant is dog-friendly. We were offered a choice of dining areas where our dogs would be comfortable. The food was plentiful and served hot, which I appreciate. I enjoyed the lasagne and my companion had the ham with chips, both of which were tasty. There were a few local youngsters whose language may have been a bit challenging for the staff, but I suppose that's to be expected nowadays. Overall, it was a great location with good food.

"In the beginning, God created many things from Monday to Saturday and on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. Or did he? No. No he didn’t. On the seventh day God created Bennys. This biblical reference does not do justice to just how divine a Bennys is. It is a kebab/pizza/fast food shop steeped in glory and mystery. Some scholars have actually considered Bennys as the final resting place of both the ark of the covenant and the Lance of the Longinus. If Dan Brown has written another book, I have no doubt Bennys would have featured because the food is so good. I have been to Bennys three times a holy trinity of visits. Each time I have opted for a seminal chicken kebab. The chicken has been fresh and plump and proper (a bird sacrificed for the grace of our plates). The spices have oozed with flavour, cleansing my very soul. The pitta has been strong and resolute in its carrying of the other constituent items of perfection. The salad has been clean, cutting through the spice, to reclaim the innocence of my tastebuds for another spiritual bite. The hot sauce has teased my palate (and my perineum) with a fiery wet heat of a culinary miracle. The chips have been a hybrid of soft and crispy, like a kettle chip which has had an illegitimate child with a cloud. And the garlic mayonnaise, oh yes the garlic mayonnaise, embodies the fulcrum of the holy trinity of God. I believe in a church. The church of Bennys. It is wholesome, it is great, it guides me to the green pastures of hope, away from the barren epoch of servitude you get with other late night food venues. Benny was the 13th apostle and he founded his church here in Ashbourne. I once saw a drunk 19 year old get hit by a 2013 Renault Twingo outside of Bennys. Was he hurt? Was he maimed? No, a beam of alabaster white light transcending mind and soul came out of Bennys as it happened. He walked again. It’s not my place to say, but if that accident had happened anywhere else, I don’t think he would have lived. To me, Bennys is more than a kebab shop. Maj and the boys run one hell of an establishment. Just like Derbyshire was home to the Arkwright mills and the birthplace of the industrial revolution, it is home to Bennys my church. While the Arkwright Mills had consequences for the direction of mankind, so too, to a far greater extent, does Bennys. Fun fact: just down the road from Ashbourne is Belper where Timothy Dalton grew up."
