"This is a nice pub with a big car park and good drinks range, but the Sunday Lunch was a huge let down. Price was low, but the 'roast pork ' was like baked, thick cut bacon with the rind on (not crispy), turkey was better but nothing to write home about. Yorkshires and potatoes were likely from frozen. Overall, disappointing, nothing fresh and none of us finished their meal. Would stop in for a drink or possibly try their weekday food menu, but wouldn 't go back for a roast."

Nice place. Can't rate atmosphere, was there for a wake but the buffet they prepared was spot on given the circumstances

Love the refurbishment, stylish and comfortable surroundings. The food was great, I had the veggie burger and the homemade chips were to die for!! Will be definitely going again.

We absolutely love this place. If your are wanting beautiful homemade food with a good portion size this is the place to go. It's comfortable, friendly and even allows well behaved dogs. Highly recommended

very warm and welcoming. the personal is really friendly. they have a good menu and offer special nutritional requirements. our meals were a good tasting home cooked food and the special nutrition meal was exceptionally delicious! we look forward to our next visit.

Have been here twice; once for a steak, which was really nice, and once for a Sunday lunch, which although not expensive was very disappointing. I really hope the proprietors take the feedback on board about this as The Brown Cow has all the makings of a cracking village pub, which we would visit time and time again, if they can improve the roast.

there were 8 of us, because we had been set up on another place, they could not have come up any more than if we had booked a week before. we all had something different from the menu and it was cooked to perfection. well made the brown **** so we all feel so welcome. will definitely be restored after their renovation. I've been very happy. - that's it.

This pub is local to me but I never really go in when passing by. Today I thought I’d give it a try and it did not disappoint. I had the hot beef baguette with home made chips (which is something you don’t see much these days) which was really tasty with generous portion sizes. Great value, and the staff were really nice too. I will definitely be coming here more now. I sat outside, but the pub was really nice inside too.

Food was decent and car park was to the rear/right hand side. They have a disabled entrance too. Lady behind the bar on 5th July was really polite which is a big bonus nowadays. Gents toilets clean but paper dispenser was broke. Menu could’ve done with a wipe or even formatted a little better. The sauce was missing from our food order which we had to ask for again (came out after a few mins) and dessert came out quick which is always a plus. Will be back again

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
