First time here a month ago been every week since ,nice pub, very pleasant staff, food superb, wife reckons best haddock chips she's had in area I v had giant yorkie, since sausages, mash, veg gravy. Fabulous.

We had haddock bake and scampi. The haddock and scampi were fine. However, the chips, although good, were tiny portions,as were coleslaw garnishes- a small spoonful. The meal sizes were more like senior citizen dishes. Shrinkflation?

Lovely friendly staff ,food was lovely especially the steak pie and Fish and chips they skin the fish served with a bright salad homemade rumbled chips and mushy peas GF atmosphere was bright and cheerful always seems busy thank you team Countryman

We decided it was time to check out the meals at this lovely pub .been 38 years since last visit. I must say was very pleased with the whole experience. The food was very tasty good portion sizes .the service from the staff was second to none even tho they were very busy .Great prices compared to other pubs too

I visited the country man in Humberston on Wednesday 27th September 2023 with three friends. We all had a wonderful meal it was all cooked to perfection. The only thing I would say and I did raise this before we left was that there is no disabled parking or access and we were all registered disabled in our party.

A wonderful place that suits everyone! The GF Gluten Free range is fantastic with lots of meals including a range of desserts which you don’t get anywhere else. Sunday lunches are filling and have everything you can ask for. Again, reasonable price with different sized portions. We usually find Sunday lunches including the carvery’s tend to be expensive on Sundays but very reasonably priced here : I had the chicken bacon salad which was genuinely the nicest I’ve ever had. The wife decided that we were going out for tea, I left it in her hands and we ended up here. Well we have been before but not for a long time and we both said that we forgot how nice it is. The staff for a start were friendly and accommodating, attentive but not intrusive. Lovely atmosphere and then we sat down. The wife had already checked out the menu so we ordered drinks and then we ordered food straight after. Awful experience!! I am writing this on behalf of my mum who visited here last night with her 3 sisters. They had pre-booked and paid a £5 deposit per person, specifically asking if they needed to pre-order for the festive menu and were told not. They only meet up once a year and this is a very special occasion for them. On arrival they were given an awful table in the doorway, they requested to move and were placed on a tiny and low table which was awkward to eat at. There were nearby empty tables and were advised that these were already booked and not available to them despite remaining empty throughout their meal. We visited today for our second time as we loved it so much last week. We had booked for a 3 course Christmas dinner. On arrival I could see that the table id requested was ready for us however it was surrounded by tables that were all full. Sadly COVID has left me with a lot of issues and my main one is anxiety, especially with a lot of people around. The staff were lovely and moved us to a perfect little table at the side of the bar.
