This seafood restaurant is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend it, and it’s located in a charming fishing village that adds to the lovely experience.

First time in this lovely restaurant with my mum and brother for hid birthday treat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Warm room despite the bad weather outside. Food was outstanding well served and so tasty. Will be back.

Generally lovely food, although the Halibut special was very overcooked today and too dry to finish my mouthful in time to tell the waiter. She wasn't hanging round though and when the fish was left on the plate, she was quick enough again to argue she'd asked me if it was OK. Not the service I'd expect. Quite disappointing. There are steps up from the bar and lounge bar to the dining room, otherwise accessible although limited parking at top of a fairly steep ramp. Staff were excellent as was the food at fair prices. I know there are wonderful views here but not when we visited because of the haar (i.e. condensation, mist, fog, sea fret, etc). Wow! This place is a hidden gem with fresh seafood. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious! The kids' menu was different from the usual chicken nuggets and hot dogs; they offered proper meals like fish and chips and breaded chicken, both of which were fantastic. The sea bass and scallops we ordered were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This is a lovely pub with stunning views of the bay, which are always a delight. They seem to specialize in seafood, which I’m sure is quite good, but their vegan options left much to be desired. The dishes were quite basic and tasted like they were pre-made rather than freshly prepared, unlike the other offerings on the menu. The chips clearly came from the freezer and were just reheated, while the bean burger was a bit bland. It felt like we might have made a better choice with a different vegan option! Many items listed on their website were also unavailable when we visited, even though what was posted online looked appealing. Additionally, the staff was somewhat unfriendly and distant. O...

The best way to describe the Creel Inn is that the kitchen showcases a remarkable level of skill. My wife and I enjoyed a two-course lunch there today after a refreshing walk from Stonehaven to Dunnotar Castle, so we were definitely hungry! I had the black pudding scotch egg served on pea shoots with a peppercorn sauce, followed by battered haddock and chips. My wife chose a crayfish salad, which was followed by mussels in a chili and coconut sauce. The sauce for the mussels was one of the finest I’ve ever tasted; my wife insisted I try it, and the layers of flavor were truly outstanding.
