The Flying Childers Inn

The Flying Childers Inn is an ideal village pub to visit while hiking in the Peak District. It boasts a charming traditional ambiance and staff that are friendly and inviting. I thoroughly enjoyed the meat pie with mushy peas and a pint.

Very friendly and characterful pub. We left the car here and walked around the Nine Ladies, returning for lunch. Great food, many vegetarian or vegan options, can recommend the classic dog and the sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely return.

There is no better place to experience a traditional British pub than this one. Despite our short stop for a drink while walking our dogs, we were treated with exceptional service by the warm and friendly staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

What a beautiful pub, perfect spot for a break after a morning walk. 3 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs, the staff were very friendly . We sat inside and ate sandwiches and chips and the moonshine was perfect. Great pub, loads of character . Highly recommend.

The first time i have visited the flying Childers Pub, what a night,a incredible hostelry.faultless service by the Landlord and his Wife,the Pizza was out of this world{will be there for the next Pizza evening}and to Top it all they have Bass on Tap,what a wonderfull Village Pub.

Authentic British country pub with excellent food and real ales. The menu is mostly plant based with some vegetarian and a few meat dishes. Nine of us went and all enjoyed the food, even though half the group were not vegetarian or vegan. The staff were friendly, atmosphere lovely and it's dog friendly. It's surrounded by lots of nice walking tracks too so perfect for a lunch and walk.

The food at this restaurant is delightful, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend this pub, as they offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options that are delicious. The homemade homily pie and soup were both tasty. The food was quickly prepared and served in charming china cups with fun tea-cosies. The traditional old Derbyshire pub has a cozy open fire, and our muddy boots and dogs were welcomed. The landlord kindly waited for us to finish our meal even though they were supposed to close earlier. Treat yourself to a visit to this charming establishment.

As a once a year visitors our custom won't be missed but I believe in a honest review whether good, bad or indifferent..
