The sea bass with vegetables and parsley sauce was very tasty. Someone really understands flavour and knows how to cook. It was a first visit and I'll definitely return to try a different dish.

This was a birthday occasion and this was a wonderful evening. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. The food was outstanding and service excellent. I have hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Really excellent food and service in this pub. A lovely sunny garden to sit in, and the whole property was wheelchair friendly. A good place to stop for refreshment on the way to and from the coast of Dorset. Friendly, prompt and attentive service.

I’d like to start by saying that this is a beautiful venue and the service was exceptional, however the food was let down purely by poor quality ingredients.. cheap burger buns that fall apart and frozen chips, which when charging £17 for burger and chips is disappointing, the steak and mushroom sauce however was delicious

Family of four (2 adults and 2 little ones) visited for an early dinner on Saturday night. There appeared to be a quite a few regular locals in, which is only a good sign in my opinion. Friendly service and the gentleman behind the bar remembered my name when he said goodbye. Food was very nice, tasty and reasonably priced. They did not have a children’s menu but were very accommodating by offering smaller portions from the main menu. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area

I have to say I was expecting great things, given all the good reviews, sadly it was not the case. Sunday lunch was well cooked, but nothing special, apart from the seafood Platter which was outstanding. Fairly mediocre roast beef lunch, small portions of veg and beef which was thinly cut from a small joint. Sweets were fine. £3.50 for a lime and soda was outrageous and they initially wanted to charge extra for more veg, given the fact they had provided so little originally, but agreed to remove from bill. Service was very attentive but lacked finesse. Felt it was overpriced for what we got. Will not be returning sorry.
