A great choice, last minute decision, of where to have breakfast. One of the best views ever. Oh, the food and service are great also!

Beware of sneaky service charge. It’s not mentioned in the menu so you can refuse. Think it’s underhanded to add it and then ask if it’s ok. Won’t be back unless this is stopped

This place is fantastic. The view is stunning, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service by Alix Erin was exceptional. The food was delicious and the meat was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back! Speisekarte ansehen

Went for lunch but was disappointed that jacket potatoes had been removed from the menu. They were lovely when they used to sell them. Sandwiches couldn't be toasted seemingly. I don't really like a big meal for lunch so it's just that it doesn't suit me any more.

Booked a table and went yesterday to watch rugby. Met with a warm friendly approach and shown to our table upstairs. Service fast, great prices, great atmosphere and the extra touches piper, free drink and pie was genious Erin our waitress was fab. Def recommend and will be back. Thank you for a great day.

This morning, I went to the restaurant for breakfast and our server, Vicky, was exceptional. She was incredibly friendly, as if we had known her for years. When we requested something off the menu for our 1-year-old, they were more than willing to accommodate us. Overall, it was a perfect 10/10 experience. Speisekarte ansehen

Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere, cosy and warm loved the log burner. We visited as a party of 11 and every single one of us loved our meals. Staff are all friendly and super helpful. The model train was the icing on the cake, especially as one of the members of staff gave it a little nudge to help it get going. A very special meal and we loved it all. Will definitely return on our next trip to Edinburgh x thank you x

The atmosphere at this restaurant is lovely, with a beautiful view of the Forth. We stopped in for coffee and cake and were delighted by the delicious selection of freshly baked goods. While we were there, the rugby was on and the staff were even giving out free pies (which I think were leftovers and not a regular occurrence). Joanna was incredibly friendly and chatty, and went out of her way to help my friend who is diabetic and needed to be careful about his food choices. We will definitely be returning again in the future.

It’s a shame but, this has changed from restaurant to a pub. The choice is mediocre, but expensive. The young staff were polite and attentive, the older members could take a lesson from them. When we arrived we were left waiting until the staff finished their personal conversation before acknowledging we were there.There was no way were they going to make us feel welcome. We were shown to a table, and one of the senior staff took our order and explained that if a steak was ordered and anything such as veg etc. was extra, he almost threw the cutlery onto the table and left without any conversation.
